Cabinet Build Pinball FX3 Code

I built a pinball cabinet during the covid lockdown. SOmeone mentioned to try Pinball FX 3 so installed it only to realise that Cabinet Mode is only available on STEAM. I installed STEAM and install Pin FX 3 but then I had to request a code!? Applied for the code last weekend but I haven't heard anything back, am I missing something??
