  • Avengers!

Stern just announced its new Avengers table. Pictures of the layout are available on the web.

To be honest, I was a little disappointed with X-Men, because the gameplay hinges completely on being able to drag modes into multi-ball. But the field just feels so crowded on the left hand side with the Wolverine toy. Avengers looks a lot more open, with some nice clean shots available for some good flow play. I just hope that the rules can even begin to approach the depth of AC/DC.

I like the Hulk feature. Reminds me of the genie in TOTAN.

Hmm, looks a little bland and too open if you as me. There's only one ramp...Anyways, can't wait to hear the voice work on this one!

Probably the same type of voice work that was on the X-Men table.

Um, a good pin doesn't need any ramps at all.

I appreciate a lot of the modern design, as a lot of DMD and later SS pins are pretty ramp heavy, but playing earlier SS and EM tables can be extremely compelling. It's really all about the rules, as even the most amazing layout can be reduced to garbage if the rules just aren't fun.

True, still looks bland to me though. I'm sure it plays well and is a lot of fun

              Just found this online

Not impressed with the VO work, except for Hulk & Thor, which sounded decent. The Nick Fury "We Have A New Champion" line at the very end of the video sounds very cringe-worthy. Somebody needs to tell them that they're supposed to be imitating Samuel L. Jackson, not "Amos and Andy".
