  • Dragon's Crown

Any of you guys playing this out there? I picked it up today and I'm loving it. I've been looking forward to it since it was announced two years ago and it's a blast to play co-op. I've been running some local 3-player while maining the Wizard and it's going pretty well. The artwork is simply breathtaking and the game play is great for an action/rpg.

I'd also like to hear Barbie's perspective on the game's art style. Some of the female characters caused a bit of a stir with their exaggerated proportions

Haven't played it, just watched some gameplay footage. The art is gorgeous, but yeah, the proportions are ridiculous. Seems kinda unnecessary but I'm still interested in playing it eventually.

Yeah, that's what I'm talkin' bout, lol! No shame in yo' game Me personally, I love the way the Sorceress and the Amazon look. But I love the whole game in general. I really wanted to main one of them first, but went with the Wizard for now because I didn't want my wife to think I was a complete perv

Awesome. I need to hook up with you guys and play. Maybe Saturday?

Hey guys, been a while since I've dropped by here Dragon's Crown is amazing, it's everything I imagined and more. I've put over 30 hours into it already and I haven't even beaten normal mode yet Teaming up is the best way to beat a few B-path bosses for sure.

Snake we gotta link up on the game. I had to take a break from it because I was playing Pikmin 3 for the Wii U as well. Hehehe My level is pitiful right now. Promise I'll get it up so I can be of some entertainment!

                Hey guys,
I was thinking to buy this or not. I couldn't decide based on the gameplay videos. Can you write some pros and cons about the game? I like the old-school beat'em up games like King of Dragons and Knights of the Round. How is Dragon's Crown compared to these in it's atmosphere? How complicated is the game itself?
                Thanks

I would like to know this too. I'm still on the fence on this game as well.

Unfortunately I haven't played King of Dragons or Knights of the Round myself, but I can tell you that as a fellow lover of old school beat'em ups this game is everything I hoped it would be. Obviously the game is gorgeous and the atmosphere is classic fantasy. It has slight D&D feel to it. The gameplay is fairly straightforward, but with enough depth in the form of combos, spells, and equipment upgrades to give it a great amount of replay value. It's beat'em up with rpg elements.

                    Pros:
                    - Beautiful graphics
                    - Good soundtrack that compliments the atmosphere
                    - Easy to pick up and play
                    - Surprisingly deep for a brawler
                    - Great multiplayer action (local and online, but you have to beat the main quest to unlock online. Doesn't take too long)

                    Cons:
                    - Story isn't bad but gets in the way a little
                    - During 4-player action it can be hard to tell what's going on
                    - Trips to town for upgrades/quests gets repetitive

If I were scoring it I'd give it an 8.5/10.

                      +1
That is a perfect explanation of the game and my exact rating would be what BW rated.
