Stuck on Deck 21 (spoilers) - bug?

I made it! .. up to Deck 20 ... sounded the horn ... back to the lobby! ... chasing Jed ... now I’m with the Apex Predator ... he’s immune to everything I try ... flailing tentacles ate me up and I’m back in the lobby. Ack.

I set off again and made it through to the Apex Predator again, except this time he seems to be asleep. No tentacles. He’s still immune. I’ve used up all my weapons and special skills. He’s still asleep. I’ve punched him. I’ve run around the deck. I’ve tried to get back out the door. Nothing. I’m stuck. I can’t die and I can’t kill him. I’ve quit the game and come back into it but I’m just on the deck with the Apex Predator stuck.

Should something be happening? Or is this a bug?

Could you please tell me which platform do you play the game on and the version number?
Additionally, if you could provide a screenshot of this, it might help us determine what causes this.

Playing on iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (2nd generation), iOS 13.1.3.

I cant’ add the screenshot, it says the jpg doesn’t fit the dimension size to upload and I can’t resize it.

I reached out to our developers who informed me that this isn't a bug. This fight requires some trickery as this horror can not be beaten by regular means. Try hiding behind the columns to see if all those tentacles can avoid being tangled up.
