I got started with Frequency, and very shortly after Amplitude. But day of my senior prom in 2002 (man I feel old) some friends dragged me to an arcade to try "that dancing game". 4 hours of DDR later I was absolutely hooked. I've been an active Bemani (the line of Japanese music arcade games by Konami) player since, focusing on IIDX more than anything, but Drummania is also close to my heart.Smile - life is good! Well, I've still haven't played Kickbeat yet because it's going to be released here (in Europe) in 11 hours.
My serious passion for rhythmgames started about 2 years ago, with osu! (taiko mode, since I'm playing mostly on laptop). I've even reached the top 20-30 in monthly chartsAlso 1 month ago I got DJ Max Techinka Tune and platinumed it recently.
Vita really lacks of rhytmgames (there're just 3 games, 2 of them - DJ Max Technika Tune and Hatsune Miku Project Diva f were never released in Europe), that's why I'm really looking forward to playing Kickbeat.

Ah, Osu! for PC. I've played the original (Osu! Tatakae Ouendan!) for DS along with it's sequel and American version EBA. It's a great game and I love the system it uses; so original!
DJ Max Technika is... well. I like the arcade version, I was super gung ho about the Vita release. But after some nasty political things with the US distributors and some similar things, I've kinda boycotted it. Have you played Project Diva though? That game is lots of fun; uplifting music and a great difficulty curve.
Have you played any of the DJ Max games that were on the PSP? They're available (or should be) for download over PSN.Smile - life is good! Check out my blog here - Check out my IIDX shenanigans here

Speaking of project diva, here's an imported track in KickBeat (intro is shaky, but it gets better): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhhYbIGATQg

But, as I said, I mostly play osu!taiko. It's clone of the another game - Taiko no Tatsujin. Also I've tried osu!mania (Beatmania clone), but it was so hard...

It's really small, but still quite enjoyable.
