There is a second recipe in this same area, you need to lower the floating rocks using Stoneheart (once you obtain it). With the Vial of Light active take one step on to the rocks then turn around and there's a recipe on the wall you just walked past.

Behind the hidden bookshelf where the wall opens when you pull out a book is another of those glowing formations that fill your light vial to detect secrets. But I cannot seem to find whatever is hiding. The indicator in the top-right says I am close. Has anyone found it?

You need to go to the place with the hammer in this same building - and at the wall in this room (it's on open space) there is a recipe for elixir. You need to go really fast, becouse it is far away from the place where you fill the vial up.
