No tables are transferring no matter what platform. You have to buy them again.

-Spoke with techs at the electronic store Best Buy and they said that for playing VR, the PS5 is the best console. However, you can't find a PS5 unless you go on EBAY and pay 3 to 4x its retail price. Then you must purchase the VR gear for it. The Oculus is around $400. Then, as has been confirmed by ZEN, you have to re-purchase the games. All of that stands as a pretty tall order to even get started. Has ZEN taken all of this into account in marketing FX? I have yet to see one comment about the play-ability of the new next gen platform in the Forums from fellow pinheads.
-The million dollar question for me is this; can you turn off all of the noise/bells and whistles and play these games in, for lack of a better phrase, the 'CLASSIC' mode?

Hopefully, the bundle pricing will help soften the blow of having to repurchase all of the tables. The Star Wars and Zen Originals I will get first. Then Marvel. Maybe wait for sales (eventually) for the Williams tables as I have already bought those twice (Pinball Arcade and Pinball FX3) so not looking forward to buying those a third time. And generally, I don’t find those as fun.
If we want real tables, I’d love an agreement with Stern and music-based tables like AC/DC, Metallica, Iron Maiden, etc.!

We will be able to confirm platforms and answer questions about backward compatibility once we have worked out some of the outstanding licensing hurdles involved. We would like to ask for a little bit of patience in this matter.

The only mention of a new pinball this year is for the new platform and that is the Mandalorian. ZEN notes that later on in the year, they will release Mandalorian to FX3. In the mean time, get ready for a reloading of all the current table in the new FX with all sorts of distracting things flying about. Personally, I think this is to draw a new, younger audience to their pinball platform, since, like me, pinheads are for all intent and purposes a group of older dudes, like myself, who love pinball going way back. And I think it's great to have the new platform. No doubt I'll be buying what I need to play it. BUT, I SO want to continue playing FX3, particularly the classic mode, as I see that as a truer measure of pinball purity and skill. I had this pinball fantasy, as many did, that ZEN would be bringing hundreds of new tables through its Williams/Bally license as well as more original tables for the FX3 platform.
