AmazeBalls!!!
Got to say even tho I can't possibly hope to afford these VR devices, but dayum son! that looks so dope. The thing that really got to me was the new table library UI. Its presented in an actual Arcade, with the tables inside pinball cabinets and everyone. Just hope going forward Zen will bless us with that UI within PFX2 & ZP2 in our non-VR devices.sigpic

Great news!
Hi,
Very nice to hear this news. Something many may not be aware is the way the Oculus Rift is designed basically eliminates lag and when it comes to pinball, that's a very good thing. Although many don't feel there's any lag (or insufficient to be an issue or even noticeable), this may be the best way to experience Pinball FX 2.
The only downside is as an owner of most DLC, it's a bit of a downer to have to rebuy all the tables on the same box I'm playing the non-VR version. I hope if at all possible, there's a way to perhaps provide some discount for existing owners, but if it's not possible, that's understandable too (dev costs).
Looking forward to the release!

This is probably the most impressive VR game I've seen so far to be honest lol. My main problem with VR is that a ton of those games are games where you still have to move around and I've tried it at IFA last year and just sitting in the chair makes that a pretty underwhelming experience. However since you'd just stand at a pinball machine anyways I could see this as being actually very awesome. Too bad the damn thing is gonna cost 600 bucks and my PC isn't near good enough to even support it. I'm hoping for you guys this will be a success but I don't really see how VR is gonna be a big thing. has the same feel as motion controls for me. More a gimmick than a revolution. Then again that's just me
PS: How much work does it take to convert these tables in a way that they work with VR? Three tables being available doesn't neccessarily mean that each of them just takes a ton of work to convert since sales will be so much lower compared to the other versions since less than 1% of gamers will even get the VR shenanigans and only a fraction of that will be into pinball.Comment

@casio,
Maybe.. but have you ever tried a decent one like the Vive or Rift.
I didn't like 3d, pseye and all those other ones.
VR is more like going from VHS movies to 4k movies, from paper to pc/monitors, from walking to driving a car.
My bet is VR will replace monitors one day.. why? because in Vr you can have any virtual monitor setup you want.
Even 5 like stock brokers.
VR is not a gimmick anymore.
It can be greatly improved and it will be in the future (resolution and such)
I remember telling my family that a cellphone was something for special "rich" people, who needs a cellphone??
Yap, was I wrong.Comment

VR Pinball - Mates and all
Does this mean we could upload video grabs of our mates standing besides us as we play? Sometimes sticking wet fingers in your ears, blowing cigarette smoke in your face and other various distracting techniques! Or as we are playing knocking/thumping/generally abusing the cabinet (even one mate used to knee the front steel panel till it was dented, most of the pinnies in our local deli arcade had signs of his abuse), till the deli owner would come in and evict said abuser for a certain amount of time.
Putting coins, in our time being twenty cent pieces on the cabinet for your next go. I'll never know how we worked out who's twenty cent piece was who's when there was sometimes ten and more twenties on a popular pinnie.
VR is truly going to be revolutionary.
P.S Absolutely Loving the new Alien bundle!Comment

They stole my idea I tell ya!

Though with the ui arcade idea with malcontent characters getting about, sounds still doable. UI sounds great though!
P.S Love your work! bring on the Alien table guide (not rushing you or anything).Comment

I have owned all those devices you mention and VR certainly does not fall into the same category. For Sim Racing it is incredible and an absolute game changer but also for Pinball it is one of those things where you just cannot go back to flat screen gaming and enjoy it to the extent you once did, after playing in VR as it is utterly amazing.
