I'm rebuilding a 1940s-era barn find flipperless machine that was in very rough shape when I picked it up, and have it nearly up and running again. Would it be crazy to replace the passive bumpers in the game with active bumpers, or is that blasphemy?
I was considering keeping them cosmetically the same with the same bumper cap plastics and white rubbers, but building out pop bumpers using bumper rebuild kits underneath each of them. I realize this would draw more power than their existing lightbulb circuits, and I would have to do some electrical work to make this work.
Has anyone seen something like this done before?tweakbox appvalley https://vlc.onl/
