  • Haptic Trigger Feedback?

I would love to see this implemented in Pinball FX2, but only if Zen Studios can do it right.

    Let me explain.

With pretty much ANY pinball game, the first thing I do is see if can configure the controls to use L1/R1 or LB/RB, as I prefer the more immediate response compared to the travel lag of using a pad's triggers.

So, if Zen can get pretty much instantaneous response on the Xbox One's L and R triggers, and include the haptic feedback motors to replicate the clickety-clack of a cabinet's flippers, I think that would be a really nice stand out feature, and make use of something that currently only the Xbox One can offer.

What do the rest of you think?

I thought for a minute you wanted both to be able to use the bumpers rather than the triggers AND have haptic feedback. Obviously not an option.

But no, I see what you mean. Yes, the Xbox One's triggers are very responsive and immediate, more than enough to satisfy most pinball players, and the much hyped but very underused haptic feedback would add great feel to the game, and be a USP for the Xbox One version.

If they haven't implemented this, they should.

I registered just to co-sign this.

First off I like to say as a first time player I have to say this is a fun game and I can see it getting addicting. Sad only one table but hey.
Back on topic, I was really feeling like I was missing something with the triggers being so dead in the game. Really hope these guys think about implementing the rumble feature.

Otherwise fun game. Most pinball games seem to fall short for me after a few plays but something about this one seems done right.
Only thing missing is the smell of pizza, a whole bunch of noise, a bunch of girls looking at me and me giving them the eye, me looking over my shoulder every now and then for parents/neighbors/truant officers/a creep. Get that in the game and it's the 70's and 80's all over again for me

Just registered to chime in on this as well. I think this feature would be awesome to have as well. This is something I think that I believe that will help set it apart from other systems and games.

I have to say the lack of it is really taking me out the immersion a bit. It just feels "wrong" without it. This just seems like one of a few games that the triggers were meant for.

I'm sure it would be very simple to put in. It's such an underused feature though. I don't understand why. Why for example isn't there a short, sharp pulse through the trigger when you crack off a shot from a high-powered sniper rifle in CoD or Battlefield or any of those? Anyway that's a matter for another forum.

As for reliving the old days, a stick of Juicy Fruit chewing gum and a skateboard would complete the nostalgia trip for me!

Hi, just googled pinball fx 2 and haptic feedback which led me here. Thought I'd join up to voice my support for this feature, I frequent some gaming forums and I know a lot of people enjoy this feature and I'm sure you'd sell a few more copies if it was implemented. It could very well turn the x1 port into the "killer" version. I was thinking how it could be implemented, maybe a short, sharp click for basic hits on the flippers and a strong rumble when you shake the table. Does anyone else have any ideas how it could be implemented smoothly without compromising realism?
