  • Xbox One Achievements - Are you kidding me?

Do the developers honestly think players will be able to unlock some of the achievements in this game?
To get all of the obsidians and main modes in one game is outright ridiculous and is something that professional players might have a problem with.

I would say that I am average or above average and I don't see any way I will ever achieve some of these...

Yes, we do. Lots of people have, it just takes practice. If you need a guide, they are on our blog: http://blog.zenstudios.com/?page_id=637

There's only 1 tracked gamer with the achievement
I'm not saying I want it to be extremely easy...it's just IMPOSSIBLE as it is right now

Keep in mind that the game just released about a week ago on the Xbox One. It's going to take some time for some of the pros to achieve it. Especially considering that there are an awful lot of tables available. Many of them are going to focus on their favorite tables first.

The achievement is definitely doable. I don't have an Xbox One, but I have acquired all of the stones and competed every mission in one game on the PS3 version.

That's why it's worth 200G. As to why similarly difficult achievements for other tables are only worth 10G remains a mystery.

Same here. I've done it a few times actually. On both ps3 and android. Gets that wizard reward bonus extremely high. And thats not even remotely close to the hardest thing to do on zp2. Wait till you try "Purge the World" on Clone Wars. Keep at it, these trophies/achievements take a long time and lots of practice. This is not a game where your gonna blow through them in any short amount of time.

              There is no mystery:

Our base game is a storefront with optional DLC, with just one free table included in the base game. We had to give Sorcerer's Lair enough achievements to fill up that requirement. DLC is a different story. On 360, we originally started out with multiple achievements per table, and hit our maximum a few tables ago, so the last couple of tables haven't even gotten achievements. I don't know if there is a limit for Xbox One, but I'm assuming that's why we're taking it slow with 1-2 per table this time. (I'll update when I get an official answer on max achievements on One).

I feel like my point in all of that has been missed. So I'll try to be as clear and concise as possible.

Insist on including Achievements with varied difficulties? Fine! Award proportional points.

Only able to award one 10G Achievement per table? Fine! Make the effort needed for each Achievement worth 10G.

But what we have is one 10G Achievement per table with wildly varied degrees of difficulty.

Look, I'm not bitching about this, (even though I'm sure it probably seems that way by now...I'm fairly certain this isn't anything that can be changed at this point anyway,) I was just wondering what the thought process was for selecting these mostly wacky and definitively NOT worth-as-little-as-10G Achievements for some of these tables and if this is to be expected for all future tables.

Actually, that last part probably came off as a bit abrasive, but you know what I mean. I hope.

Anyway, BarbieBobomb said she'd get more info when she can, and I can wait for that. It's ultimately more a curiosity than anything as far as I'm concerned because I'll still continue to buy the new tables, and I'll still try for the Achievements on them (whether I succeed or not ) regardless of difficulty. I also have no doubt, however, that it could affect someone else's decision to buy.

Yes, perhaps we can earn achievements I practice mode but not earn an points towards the leaderboard? I don't think the achievements themselves can be edited after launch...

Sorcerer's lair although fairly unforgiving it's quite a casual table. devise a strategy and it's definitely doable. This is the appeal of pinball, perfecting a table and obsessing over your scores and aiming for that perfect run. I really appreciate the hard achievements, too many games these days just slap on easy to obtain ones that really add no replay value.

Thank's for believing in our abilities to persevere, Zen Studios!

First off, I want to say that I don't have a problem with challenging achievements for pinball. It's an inherently difficult game to master so it makes sense to me that some of the achievements would reflect that.

However, I see a number of people saying it's doable because you've done it on other platforms. So have I multiple times on the 360. I have yet to beat the Bones mission a single time on the Xbox One. I believe you all are just trying to be encouraging and assuming, like I did, that the table should play basically the same on the Xbox One as it does everywhere else. But based on the stats on trueachievements.com that may not be the case.

As the OP mentioned only one tracked gamer has unlocked 'Perfectionist'. What he didn't mention is that it is out of a sample size of nearly 10,000. This achievement currently has the highest TA ratio of any game on the Xbox One OR Xbox 360 by a significant margin(almost 50% higher than 2nd place).

Now maybe shogun is right. The game hasn't been out long, so things could change in a few weeks or months. Maybe the results are just skewed from a lot novice players just after some free gamerscore. But it's also possible with those numbers that something might be a little wonky with this version of the table.

There are a lot of pro and advanced players that visit these forums so I'll ask: has anyone here gotten this achievement yet?

I have not played any pinball games before but have really enjoyed the sorcerers lair table and last night got a score of 900+million.
I have out around 8 hours into this table and currently am trying to figure out how to beat the BONES mode.
My highest is 12/13 obsidians and I made a few videos on my xbox profile for various achievements and score proof.

Hey, I don't have a problem with difficult Achievements either, bring it on! I just think the reward should match the challenge.

Yeah, at first I thought maybe I was just rusty...it had been a while since I last played on 360. But I've tried so hard. I don't think the spinner is registering properly.

The only achievement that I feel very very hard to complete is the Avenger's one. I don't know if is due to the new controller but it's extremely hard to save a ball pushing the table.

                              Since now = https://account.xbox.com/it-IT/Achie...One/1818736509

Anyway Bones is really hard too and feels like that something goes wrong with the spinner.
