  • XBOX ONE Version has flipper delay.

That is correct. I have been playing pinball games since the 80's and I love Pin Ball games however there is a flipper delay on the XBOX ONE version. I had this game on the PS4 no problems as soon as you hit the button the flipper moves. I have this game currently through steam and no problem, as soon as you hit the buttons the flippers move. However on the XBOX ONE they is a delay. You hit the button and the flipper takes half a second longer then the PS4 or PC to actually move. SUCKS. FIX IT because after next Tuesday I will only be able to play it on the XBOX ONE but if it's not fixed I won't. Don't tell me I am some rager kid because I am not. l I love Pin Ball like I said but the XBOX ONE VERSION is not like it should be. There should not be a half second delay when hitting your button and the flipper moving. I noticed it in like the first 10 seconds of the game. Wasn't something I had to analyze to see if I was correct or not.

This is the weird thing, my game, and many others, is lag free, whereas my girlfriend's game does have lag, the only difference being the size and model of TV (both are LG's running in GAME mode, all gizmos turned off).

I'm pretty sure that Zen have been aware of the lag issue since it was put to them more or less at launch, but as yet, a workaround or patch hasn't been announced.

I played the PS4 version on the same TV as the XBOX ONE but the XBOX ONE has the flipper delay and the PS4 was nice and smooth with no delay.

Looking through these xbox one version forums the first 6 pages was nothing but complaints, I probably won't even bother with the game... oh well would have been nice.

        Hey guys,

The February update came with a new controller firmware that seems to have corrected this for me. Make sure you've got the February update on your console, then do a firmware update on any controllers you may have and see if that corrects it for you as well.

        Thanks!

Not everyone though, so I wouldn't get too excited, as my girlfriend's game is no different, as she is still losing balls left, right, and centre, and this is after the February console update, and latest pad firmware.

As far as I know, there can be only two explanations, both of which are directly related to your TV or screen :

                1. Some of the features that create artificial extra-contrast / sharpness must be disabled if you want to be sure that there is no input lag at all. So-called "600 Hz" can be a problem too. Some TVs, however, are so badly designed that you can't really disable everything, and the lag is unavoidable. I had the problem with a Philips 32PFL9602d (from memory). Usually, it's a matter of setting up the "source label" : if your console is plugged to the HDMI1 plug, for example, set the HDMI1 source label to "Game" and not to "DVD" or anything else. It can help solve the problem, because the TV will automatically disable unwanted special screen improvements.

                2. Less likely, it can be only a matter of sound shift : if you're using an amp, maybe the sound effect arrives half a second too late and then you have the feeling that the flipper is late while it's only the sound FX, but it can be enough to get mad and lose balls.

Well it's not the first one, as everything is turned off, and it's not the second one, as it's a very obvious visible delay.

Also, it doesn't explain why all other games play fine, except both Pinball FX2 and Pinball Arcade.

Well, it can be difficult to notice such short lags on any other game than pinball. And like I said some TVs will always have lag. However I agree that it's unlikely. You have to make tests : what if your friend uses her machine on another TV ? or someone bring their Xbox to her home and try the game ? Or if you use the 360 version of the game, which is known to be 100% lag-free, on your TV ? It is very strange that other people noticed a resolution of the problem and not you, there must be a reason, we have to find it.

Yeah, we game in the same room, so hooking her console up to my TV and vice-versa out of curiosity wouldn't be a problem.

We're both in the preview program too, so we're on the latest dash, and have updated all of our controllers.
