Doom Table Ball Graphic Glitch

Been playing this table for a while, but have noticed that the ball switches to a very low res graphic sometimes when travelling to the flippers and stays at that res for a time Seems to happen when the ball turns yellow in part of the game. It does change back to high res when the ball "cools down". Has anyone else noticed / had this problem??
