I just find that I can hit it consistantly if I can see the ball rather than coming blind and at varying speeds.

Here is a video on the Pasha magnet game. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5okKrPP_EE).
After watching this video a few times I was finally able to get the timing down. My success rate is now about 75% for the magnets.
----------
As far as scoring goes, my best game was a good effort all around. One thing that helped was being able to complete 3 locks on Snake multiball 2 times on 1 ball.
The first 3 ball completion netted 20 million.
The second 3 ball completion netted 50 million.
I assume some of the individuals with the highest scores on this table have completed this mode several times during 1 ball for big scores.

Thanks for the video link. I knew it was something like this I think I was just doing the opposite timing...
Still need to work on my "Start the Story" shot...
I like Pasha more and more I play it...just need to lock down a few shots to make my score more enjoyable along with it...I aint got no skills, I just smack the ball for a while...LOL! ;-)

I love this table's theme, but am continually frustrated by a couple of major shots.
Firstly, that Oasis shot is a total, utter bitch. Considering it is so key, I think the level of difficulty is a bad design element.
Secondly, they managed to incorporate one my most hated pinball mechanisms: having to shoot through bumpers. Worse, the spacing of the bumpers is harsh (and makes Blade's Citadel shot look like a breeze), and the close proximity leads to SDTM drains.
Thirdly, the guards game is fun, but let's face it: it's random.
All in all, a table with great promise that just fails due to some bad design decisions.
Oh well, too late now. Just have to live with it. I can't remember Zen significantly changing a released table (except for the Pinball FX 1 -> 2 transition), so I don't imagine they'll start now.

I still cant get that Oasis hole if I actively try for it. Ive only ever had it as a random bounce off shot. The completely random nature of the bumpers means judging a shot has to be perfect or its mr crazypants ball time. And the gaurds, well I still have not got the achievement for clearing them all and the odds of me clearing it enough to pass it are 1/50 because again its so random. But I still love the tables theme and features like the genie bottle lighting up and such. It is rather a bit of a shame.

With the Guards, try shooting only off the tips of the flippers. You pretty much always want the ball to be heading off the sides of the screen. And don't be afraid to let it bounce on the centre post.
As for the Lamp animation, and multiball lighting effects, yeah, I love them too.
Also, it's a really fast table, which is a nice change after most of the Marvel games.

Here is how I handle the 3 mini-games.
Magnet - once you get the timing down, this game becomes easier. Don't get frustrated if you aren't perfect. As long as you can keep the ball in play long enough you will beat this mission. I've had a few attempts that were very sloppy but still completed the mode.
Magic Carpet tilt table - make sure you roll the ball over the top circle/light. If you miss the bottom circle/light, don't dispair. If you give the table one hard nudge/bump UP, as the ball is rolling under the bottom circle/light you can still complete the mission. Be careful if you nudge the table more than once as you can tilt the game.
Gaurds - my normal strategy is to hit the ball as hard as I can at the start of the mission. If I'm lucky it will be up at the top and bounce off multiple guards clearing a path. After this there are 2 ways to approach clearing out the gaurds.
- Option 1. Trap the ball on a flipper and perform back flips so the ball goes straight up. Depending on the direction of the moving guards you are trying to hit, it can be safer to use the right of left flipper.
- Option 2. As was suggested earlier, shoot the ball off the tips of the flippers so that it has momentum and won't be as prone to going SDTM. If you use this method, be prepared to hold either the left or right flipper up (depending on where the ball comes down) to prevent it from draining.
The reason I normally fail the Guards mission is because I'm in hurry. If I take it slow, I normally complete this about 50% of the time.
----------
As far as starting the guard/story book, I would agree that shooting through the bumpers can be risky. However the upside is that a missed shot will often result in either advancing the table multiplier/end of ball bonus, advancing the mushroom bumper value (eventually you will activate a jackpot/superjackpot on the spinner), or opening up the Bazaar.
The best part of beating the Bazaar multiple times in a game is that the values continue to increase over the entire game and not just one ball. IIRC the value starts at 500,000 and increase 500k for each completion (1st 500,000, 2nd 1million, 3rd 1.5 million, etc...)

Maybe I am too focused on Wizard now?

This is though not the only table where if it wasn't for one mission I would have been able to do much better on it. Two others I can think of now is: SotD - Probe Mission and Mars - Pyramid MissionXBox One Gamertag - PinStratsDan

OK - Indy's advice is really good and I tried it but in the end I have now settled on a different approach that seems to be working better for me:
- When the mini-game starts I take three hard shots from the tip of either flipper.
- If I manage to survive to that point I catch the ball on one of the flippers.
- My approach then is to look for gaps in-between the three rows of guards to get a straight shot at the top two guards.
- If there is no gap - I look where I can make a gap and shoot for it where I need to go through the least rows of guards. For this I aim in the direction of the top two guards and not of the tips of the flippers.
- Once I have a gap... I shoot for the top two guards and break through as soon as possible.
This is a slow and deliberate approach and for me it has suddenly increased my success rate a lot (from about 1:20 to about 1:5).
Edit: With this approach to the minigame I have now improved my success to 1:3 and just because I can now get past it, I was able to more than double my high-score on the table!!!XBox One Gamertag - PinStratsDan

Have you any little trick for this? I found it annoying that the most difficult minigame is connected with the most difficult shot..

Ive had a bounce off shot work a few times, but nothing I could reproduce effectively. Basically a shot from the left flipper up the table towards the top flipper while holding the right flipper down can make it bounce off and in to the oasis. Sort of like a deflection shot. Other than that Ive only made the "normal" shot from the upper flipper twice since the table came out.

- I use view 4 EDIT: These days I rather use 5 on Pasha.
- catch the ball on the left flipper.
- shoot through the bumpers to activate storybook mode. Never attempt this from a moving ball, the risk is too high.
- wait for ball to pop out over the top right flipper.
- take a hard shot at the oasis hole (hold flipper in) when the ball is quite low down on the flipper.
This works at least 50% of the time. I very seldom get the shot right when I shoot the ball around the left orbit and then try to time it, but through the bumpers the ball always gets released exactly the same so you can practice it.XBox One Gamertag - PinStratsDan
