Thanks for the feedback guys - I now feel more normal with my tendency to always wanting to sit closer than seems appropriate.
With regards to the gradual insanity creeping up on me, there is nothing normal about that, I must admit, but what can you do..... nothing I say - only amazing ZEN can save the day with a speedy delivery of Mars and other new tables!!!!

Well, I play on a widescreen 23" computer monitor, so about 2 feet with headphones.

I sit about 4 feet from a 40" LED TV. I always sit that close when gaming. I like to see every pixel!

I sit about 5ft - 6ft away from my 40" screen. I have sat closer to it but find I'm chasing the ball with my eyes more from much closer.

I play on an 80" screen, from 10' away, for cinema immersion. Yummy.
Sadly, it does not improve my scores.

How Close do you sit
With ZEN's brilliant but slightly frustrating news (because previous indications were that a new table would have been released in March already) that new content will be released in the next few weeks (if my humble interpretation is correct - have been wrong before as can be seen with my observation in brackets above) I am forced to actually use my brain for further somewhat useless and pointless pondering.... here goes.
I thought now that I have a bigger and much better screen to play on (32" full HD compared to previously 22" HD ready) that I would prefer to sit further back. In reality it actually works out that I am sitting about 1.5m's away, only about half a meter further away than I did before. If I sit further away, especially while playing Pinball FX 2, I just don't feel connected with the game even though I can still see and follow everything brilliantly at say 5m's away. In the end I am absolutely loving my new set-up, I just find my new viewing distance experience slightly strange. Any-ways, what is the rest of you guys and gals experience on this and how far back do you sit?Tags: None
