  • Who has all the achievements from Pinball FX2?

    Hi to all,

First of all i want to thank Zen Studios for this amazing Game!! Keep doing what you do!!

Seconde i'm from the Netherlands for that reason my english is not that good so my apologize for any spelling mistake/errors, i hope you still understand what i try to say.

I am following this forum for about 2 years now since Pinball FX. i never signed up because normally i only read the threads instead of writting them.

Today i decided to sign up for this forum. The reasons why is because last week i have accomplished to achieve all the achievements in Pinball FX2, I never though i could do it!! But i still can not completed the 3 Wizard modes in Pinball FX, it feels totally different.

only a month ago i could achieve maby 2 or 3 missions in one game, sometimes if i was lucky i got to a wizard mode and even beat parsha. But still i needed to do Mars, Captain America, Fantastic Four, Blade, Rome, Biolab, and of course Iron Man!

So i played Biolab again because it i one of my favorites, i always get to the wizard mode with 1 ball but never completed it. Evertime i made it to a wizard mode i was too nervous to play, by the way i had a stupid superstition that only ball 1 is a good ball and ball 2 and 3 i loose mostly instead. All my bigscore where all made with ball 1, ball 2 and 3 only score a max of 5 a 10 million.

Anyway during the Biolab wizard mode suddenly all my nevers where gone and i fully understood captairing the ball and nugding the ball

    And BANG Cookie Jar unlocked!

So i played the new table Ms. Splosion Man unlocked all 3 achievements
Next Rome Legatus Legionis unlocked, Fantasic four Power Cosmic unlocked.

i was thinking what happening to me, shall i try Iron man, First time since months i played Iron Man and got to the wizard mode (never happend before that i complet all the missions in 1 game) but i failed the wizard mode. So i was thinking shall i try again and before i knew it BANG Ultimato defeated.

next Captain America and Mars (3 times completed Pyrmid mission on 1 day, i never completed this mission before). With Mars same thing happend as Iron man. And as last Blade Lord of the Undead unlocked all that happend in a couple of days.

Now i have all achievement i have some new personal achievements like everyone els, scoring as highly as possible.

Still i was thinking how many people have all the achievements for this game?
And is Pinball fx2 easier then pinball fx? Because i can get and complet the wizard mode on Xtreme but can not on Pinball fx.

    Kind regards,

    MadmuffinNL

Not too many people have every achievement unlocked, it's one of the harder games to complete. Funny how you seem to have the same habits as me with your first ball. I can get to Ultimo on ball one, but once I drain it with 1 mission left, there's no way I will ever reach it anymore in this game :P

Played some blade yesterday and completed the wizard mode with 300 million points and drained the rest of my balls and extra balls after scoring about 5 million more with all of my remaining balls :P
That's why I'll never be able to play for high scores.

Maybe a streak of good luck lead you into enough confidence to overcome your nerves causing silly mistakes. Whenever I practice a table, it's not to improve my aim, because that doesn't change much between tables, it's mostly to get familiar with the table to a point where I'm confident enough that the task is not all that hard and once I've convinced myself, the table's done within the next 1-2 hours.

I am in the same boat as you... I have all of them for FX2 but I am still missing the wizard mode ones from FX1. It feels weird going back to FX1 lol...

If I had to guess, I would say there are around 50 of us with all the cheevos. A couple of them are pretty difficult.

I managed to get all the achievements a couple of months ago. Most of them I could achieve by just playing the game and not necessarily going for them. The most difficult ones for me was Ironman (Ultimo off-course!!!), Mars and Blade as I'm sure it is for the bulk of the people that get all the achievements.

I also had a breakthrough moment (when I finally reached and defeated Rome Wizard mode) where things just clicked and I suddenly started believing that I can beat tables. From there it has been quite a strange experience as every couple of months I suddenly realise that something else clicked and then I am able to suddenly do things I didn't think was possible before. In the end I think it all comes down to the amount of hours I put into the game... I have never put so much time into one thing ever before (except maybe when I studied at University... I hope it is still more hours for my studies!!!). I don't just mean playing but also spending time on the forum to learn from all the other players, watching game play videos, reading pinball tips, reading guides and the one thing I really love... thinking strategically about how best to play a table.

I only tried to get all the achievements when I realised that I was actually only a couple short... all the ones I needed at that time was on the older tables. I can't remember all of them but I remember the two that gave me the most problems were the combo one on Speedmachine and Rocky and Bullwinkle - I think it is called Boris and Natasha (I hate the table so it was absolute torture).

I really like that all the newer tables require of you to beat the Wizard mode to get the final achievement as then if feels like; "I have beaten this table" and there is a sense of accomplishment.

As you say, then you move on to challenging yourself in other ways on the table; first a certain target score, then your friends leaderboard and then the overall leaderboard. I really hope Zen fixes or replace the superscore leaderbaord system with a new system so that, that challenge comes alive again.

By the way... well done with getting all the achievements

              Thank you very much Cloda!!

You know i recognise your name from the Leaderbords, You are one of the few the True Pinball Wizards!! I think i get more and more grip of this game everytime a play, and setting almost everytime higher scores. But still i take a long way for me to even come close to your amazing scores!

Thank you!!! The amazing thing about this game is that there is always somebody that kicks your but... you might be on top of one table (and I have only been twice and each time for only a day or so) but on other tables you will just not be able to get close to the high score and then... I thought I was doing really well on Ms. Splosion man and then the top score just grew to such proportions that I am going to have to reach a whole new level just to even consider trying to go for the score...

Strangely I still don't really feel like a pinball Wizard as there are some other guys that still completely dominate the leader boards and are still so far ahead of me. I really don't know how I am going to ever get there... but I am definitely not going to stop trying!!!

Unfortunately I don't have a 360, but I have acquired all of the trophies/achievements on the PS3 version (Zen Pinball and Marvel Pinball).

I acquired the last trophy just last month, which was on Mars. The most difficult one for me was getting the 10 medals on Earth Defense. That one took me a month to achieve. I had several close encounters, but I just couldn't keep the ball up long enough.

Oh yeah, earth defense... I hate this table with a passion, it's even worse thán Mars. Can't say I'm disappointed that the 360 version gives you the trophy for free :P

That's probably a very good guess. I knew there were at least 3 (Roco2k9, FunkDog and MightyIronHead) because they're on my Friend's list. But according to TrueAchievements.com there are 11. But that only counts for people who are registered. Ironically, KGSoloman8000 and MadmuffinNL, you're not on the list. So you should go there, register and tell 'em I sent you. It really is a great site.

Yep, the exact 3 that's keeping me from 100%. I've been to the wizard mode on all 3 too, but failed  The Mars one really hurts, because it's supposedly easier than Story Teller, Cookie Jar and of course Legatus Legionis.

I hope you're referring to the actual wizard mode and not the journey to get there, because I'd say the pyramid mission makes it easily the hardest wizard mode to activate, much harder than Iron Man.

I'm 5 achievements away at the moment, could easily be 4 from what I hear about Captain America being easy and all. I got real close to completing the Iron Man table but alas Ultimo shafted my ass with his flaming balls!! I will get him back some day.

Cloda, Zot, once you get past the pyramid mission (as tedious as it is) the final mission is a cake walk. Then again, maybe I got lucky on my run, I did complete the table on my third or fourth try.

It was a cake walk for me. I was able to complete the wizard mode on my first attempt.
