If you wish to take part just post in this thread and let me know. You may send your Friend Requests to VerbatimHeart13.

I will begin the Grand Prix on the 20th. He is the order the tables will come in, new single tables will slot in the first full week they are out and push all the tables down one place. Four packs like V&V will be randomly drawn into the four full weeks after it is released.

Benchmarks are subject to change, they are the score it takes to get into 20th overall.

    *Latest as of 22/12/11

The season will consist of every table released until the last week of the season, so it will last around 30 weeks when it's complete.

    Scoring is as follows.

1st place always gets 100 points unless they surpass the benchmark with at least one other (100% of the score for top), in this case lets say that is 10,000,000

If you get a score of 5,000,000 then that is 50% of the total, you would get 50 points.

If you get a score of 4,000,001 you get 41points, the score is alway round up to the nearest point.

In order to keep people playing the table after getting the benchmark and more than one person makes it, 5 points will be awarded for each position above the benchmark.

So if only one is above it then they get 100, if two are above then 1st gets 105 and 2nd gets 100 and so on.

One other thing is prizes, I'm not sure if Zen would like to give away a prize but it can't hurt to ask, a code or something tangible like a signed poster/t-shirt might go down well. If not then it's purely a bragging rights event.

Thanks Nekro Neko. I'd like to put my name up for this. I don't know though how much time I will have next year for playing as my situation is going to change quite a bit...

Can I suggest something again for the GP... rather than your score being a percentage of the top score achieved can't you rather set a benchmark score (e.g. on a table such as Pasha set a score of 1 Billion) for 100 points and the rest of the scores are then scored relative to that (e.g. 500k = 50 points). If anybody then scores above the benchmark it won't be in vain because then they will score an additional bonus of say 10 points.

In this way you will have a better spread of scores else, using Spiderman as an example, if somebody scores a trillion and somebody else having a nice game scores 20 Bil, they will only score 2 measly points for their participation . If you set a benchmark of say 10 Bil, then the person will score 110 points for his participation and somebody getting 2 Bil will still get 20 points. In this way the GP will be more attractive for the whole spread of players and not just for the Aliens (using a motoGP description for the 4 top riders that have been miles ahead of the rest of the riders for the last couple of years).

I think it will be nice as well if a couple of days before the table comes up for the tournament that the community can then debate on how much the benchmark score should be. It will need to be debated somewhat because I e.g. would like to set the benchmark score on the time required to reach it e.g. a 2 hour game max. Somebody else might for e.g. set it on the average of the top 20 leaderboard scores on the table. You of course will be the final adjudicator

One final suggestion is that on the week of a new table release and the week following that either the tournament is put on hold or that, that table is played for the tournament in the week following its release.

Looking forward to this. I'm definitely participating in this tournament as well. One table a week will be all I can manage as The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim is out in 4 days. That will take up 95% of my gaming time for at least the next 3 months.

Count me in for this please.

1 table a week is fine - I couldnt manage the other tournament where you had to play all of them!!!

Cloda, taking that onboard I like the idea but I think it needs a tweek.

So if only one is above it then they get 100, if two are above then 1st gets 105 and 2nd gets 100 and so on.

I'm gonna post more details in the first post including a start date.

One little thing...I would leave tables with major bugs( i.e. FF and Paranormal) for last, so there is a chance they will be fixed ( i hope so...). And...How will you take the benchmark for new tables?

Cool... I though about something like that as well since my first post. I was gonna suggest that the first position for the tournament get 20 extra points (in addition to the 100 if they reached the benchmark + the extra 10 points for going above it = 130), the second place 15 extra, third 10, fourth 7 and fifth 3... or something like that. Yours will work very well except that there might be one problem and that is that you have to limit the amount of places e.g. if 13 people make it above the benchmark then the first player will get 65 additional points.

Agree with leaving them for last. If the tournament is played on the second week that the table is out, then we will have a pretty good idea already of what a good score will be in a day or two (especially if somebody has early access). So I don't think it will be a problem to set a benchmark score. But else we can just leave the new table for later. I just suggested it because I know if a new table comes out, it is about all I play for two weeks or so.

How did you work out what the benchmark for each table is. Is it literally the current 20th best score? Cheers. I agree with other posters that extremely buggy tables should be delayed until Zen bring out a patch or release the 2.5 version.

Edit: I just re-read the original post properly and found my answer. I would find it interesting to know where each of the entrants are in the superscore leaderboard and what their superscore would be without Spider-man and the tournament bonus. I was in the top 70ish last time I checked. My superscore without spider-man would be around 5,000 instead of almost 12,000.

Another couple of questions... Is the GP gonna rest during "official" tournaments? And about Spiderman...Everyone has a different j.j. level. Is everyone ok with that? Some will find it much easier to score on that table..Not a big problem, i know, 'cos it's 1 out of 30, but still...

I would only lose 350m or so from my Superscore so I'd be 11,000 something, I've been raped by the tournaments so far

The GP will run alongside all tournaments, it'll slow it down too much if we broke up for them all. JJ is indeed annoying but it's only 1 of the many tables we will play, and it's first.

As for buggy tables, Fantastic Four came up randomly last, Paranormal was drawn 11th but V&V will come out before we get there plus it's not a score bug. You can get a game ending bug on quite a few tables to my knowledge so I'm not going to move it for now.

                            Fine...

My ss now is 145.567, actually in 9th position. For what it's worth, as everybody knows. It comes almost entirely from 2 tables: spidey (plus tournament bonus) and paranormal. Without spidey it would be 104.000 and something, if you take away paranormal too it would be 8.000-more or less. I must say that i haven't played well high scoring tables like MsSm ( which i don't like at all)and Sl ( not have enough time).

My Superscore is 153 773. Also two tables responsible Spiderman (12 000 + 12 000) and Paranormal (105 000) for most. Without those two my Superscore is around 24 500.
