Ok, thanks for the reply. I must have thought it was a ball save instead of bungee jumping. I take back my earlier comment regarding the completely useless and annoying feature. My mistake. Cheers for putting me right, HS.

I promise you the flippers do not lock any other time than if you activate bungee jumping while draining and not hitting the ramp in time. You might not have realized what was going on, or thought it was a ball save and not a conditional save. It's really easy to miss when things activate on the older tables as the audio/visual cues aren't as good as the newer tables. I've failed all the competitions multiple times and never had the table kill my flippers for it.

It took me a while to figure out bungee jumping as well, but once I did, my score went from around 15m, to 100m, it's an incredible way to extend your game.

I'm assuming you mean the "heal" function on Wolverine? Don't mind it at all as it gives you a chance to reclaim a drained ball. The problem
I have with Extreme is that my ball never drained. The flippers locked out because I failed a mission or side mission or whatever. I never lost a ball. So wolverine is much better in that respect. A second chance as opposed to a never chance. My game wasn't that helluva good btw. Still struggling to top the 12m I scored over a year ago. That was a good 30-45min game btw.

Zen: Please fix the scoring in a future update or Pinball FX3 so it's actually worth playing to improve your superscore. Cheers
Lol, that must have been a heckuva good run you had going b4 this terrible flipper locking event . That's bungie jumping for you, so much fun until something fails.
Getting good at starting and keeping the bungie-jump going is a good way to get a higher score on this table.
Flynn, I just gotta ask man, do you feel the same way about the similar function on Wolverine? Extreme gives you waaay more time to save your ball, although it can be confusing at first if you don't know where to get the ball. I think most people will prefer the wolverine's save function as you know immediately what's going on, with the darkened table, dimmed sound and a well-lit lane to shoot for. Bungie jumping is more ambiguous.

god i lov that table... thanks guys, now I know what I'm doing after work

Thanks for that info, heathenSauce. I'll definitely give the table another look. I really haven't played it that much. I remember thinking I accidentally tilted the first time the flippers locked. After it happened a few times I figured out it was a part of the table but obviously never really understood it.

The flippers only lock if you fail bungee jumping, which is a ball save mechanic similar to the heal save on wolverine. It only starts if you drain with the bungee jump light active, and kicks a new ball on the table and about 30 seconds to hit the upper ramp to keep the new ball.

It's actually a very useful feature once you know how it works and can significantly extend your game because unlike the heal save on wolverine, bungee jumping activates on every drain when it's lit, not just in one outlane.

It's been a long time since I played that one too, but I thought that only happened on the bungie jumping mission?

I don't really mind the low scoring but that flipper locking thing really does kinda ruin the table for me. Otherwise, I would like it. It has a very unique feel with the cramped lower field, in a good way.

I don't get the low scoring. It's a video game they could give us crap tons of points if they wanted. I want an Attack From Mars type table, where I get hundreds of millions of points for a skill shot, lol.

Bloody stupid table. Shame, because if it wasn't for this and the ultra low-scores in comparison to other tables I would play this a lot more. It feels like it could be a real life table.
