Glad Zen listened in regards to an Infinity Gauntlet table, although the pack reeks of new Marvel. Why does Thanos look like he escaped from a Disney film about homosexual robots? Shame we can't impale Hulk on his stupid sword during the wizard mode. Never heard of Fear Itself (ugh, more Thor/Captain America??)--sounds like a typical Marvel crossover cash grab. Hopefully the soundtracks are fresh to compensate for any recycled Marvel/V&V assets. I could literally hear Attila punching CTRL + C, CTRL + V while playing Epic Quest.

So Neil, will there still be a 2.5 update, or are most of those features being rolled into Pinball FX 3?

...the company just struck a deal with PopCap for a table based on one of the company's most popular games.

Probably Plants vs. Zombies since it prints money, although a Peggle pinball/bagatelle hybrid would be more appropriate. At least they didn't partner with Zynga.

Awesome, thanks for posting the scans!

A lot of information, here is what i can sum up:

- The Avengers Chronicles will be released in May, it will feature World War Hulk, The Infinity Gauntlet, Fear Itself, and a film based Avengers table.
- The Infinity Gauntlet table contains 129 voice-over lines.
- a Doctor Strange and Marvel Civil War tables are also in the works.
- The Zen team is hard at work bringing Zen Pinball to the Playstation Vita, Windows 7 mobile, PC, and the Wii U.
- Zen struck a deal with Popcap games to create one table based on one of its popular games.
- Interesting enough, Zen also struck deals with two companies on "huge entertainment franchises".
- and the best for last, Zen is working on Pinball FX 3.

I agree with Blue, how much Thor/Captain American do we need?? Is that really what Fear Itself is based on? Either way, more tables are always more than welcome.

So does this mean no new tables until May? Not that I'm complaining, it's well worth the wait for another four pack. Exciting times ahead.

Interesting stuff. I was surprised that there are only 25 people working on pinball; I was sure I'd read that Zen's population was at 70 or so. Maybe I dreamt it.

I'm a little glum that we won't be seeing Pinball FX 3 for at least a year. Though, presumably, Pinball FX 2.5 is on the horizon?

A suggestion for Zen: please look at unifying the table art in future tables. In the attempt to pack in different characters and elements, coherency has been lost. (See: X-Men.) Table art has become a mishmash of disparate elements, a riot of awkward colours, with no sense of unity. Also, I'm not a fan of table geometry that breaks up the cabinet walls (see: Ghost Rider). That's going too far, IMO.

Traditionally, this is the part where I say something like "keep up the good work". However, I'm not convinced by the direction Zen is heading. It may be time to put the Marvel concept out to pasture for a while.

Its a cross over type story so to speak ; They all need to stop the Serpent, who is an Asgardian God of Fear, he causes global panic on Earth and seeks to reclaim the throne of Asgard which in his opinion was usurped by his brother, Odin.

Also certain Villians and Heroes become a part of The Serpents Army which are called the Worthy heres an image of some -

I'm sorry but this ain't looking good at all. 25 people working in a new 4 Marvel pack to be released not even 2 months from now, plus 2 another marvel tables in the background, plus a Popcap licensed table, plus another pair of "big franchises" tables, and on top of ALL THAT PInball FX for iOS, android, Windows 8 and whatnot..... Yeah right.

I really hoped Zen would slow down a little, take some time to fix some of the stuff already out, and have enough time to make sure the new things coming out are actually ready to go. That seems to be not the case, sadly. It really looks like Zen has gone the "Quantity > Quality" way .

I don't think we're seeing a pinball FX 2.5 before FX3, either. I hope i'm wrong, though.
