Awesome stuff man; thanks for uploading those.

My only concern about the Hulk table is that it looks a little bit like Thor's layout (if you look at the ramps and the cross table shot on the upper play-field).

The thing I liked about V&V is that all the tables actually feel unique and new. Hopefully the AC pack will shock us all again.

All this talk about Marvel characters being on so many tables and everyone is welcoming a table with Dr. Strange. Irony considering that Dr Strange is one of the new tables and he is going to have his own table.

IMO I'm Stoked that we will get more tables coming from Zen. I don't care if there are the same theme wise as long as the tables are unique. From the sound of the articles they do seem quite unique.
-Balls that have characteristics of the hero represented.
-For infinity Gauntlet the gems do different things to the table itself.
-Fear Itself will have lot's of magnetic tendencies (most likely altering ball motion etc.)

I like it. The only thing that sound samey is Hulk. It would be hard to make pinball games that aren't similar to every other pinball table. you have ramps, out-lanes. spinners bumpers, holes, and each of these - Depending on how the missions evolve - are the basics of pinball. The design and flow of the table sounds, artistry is where the uniqueness comes from.

Can't wait for more tables Zen. Great Job!

            Marvelous!

Interesting to see the bare framework of the Hulk table on the first couple of shots. Would love to see a Zen article/video and how they go about creating a table from concept, thru initial ramp placement and tightening up rule sets etc to final release...

...the company just struck a deal with PopCap for a table based on one of the company's most popular games.

Probably Plants vs. Zombies since it prints money, although a Peggle pinball/bagatelle hybrid would be more appropriate. At least they didn't partner with Zynga.
If they partner with Zynga, I'll never buy another table. DEAD....SERIOUS.

Also...I'm just sick of Marvel tables. Seriously, they're entertaining, and I'll play them...but I could give a flying **** on a rolling doughnut about Marvel. Or other IP related tables. I want unique stuff like they did with SoTD, Pasha, Biolab, and Rome. Even Epic Quest. I'm just burned out on franchise related material, especially comic book crap. The fact is...I'm not playing FX2 nearly as much as I used to when there was only a fraction of the tables. What's more telling is that once upon a time, when I logged on to Xbox Live, the vast majority of people on my friends list were all logged in playing FX2. And now? Maybe 10%. If that. Even people I introduced to the game and got to purchase some of the tables have asked me "Ummm...are they going to actually do some original tables or are they owned by Marvel?" Love your guys' work, and dedication to your fans and all things pinball. I'm just going to relax a bit for the time being. I'll work myself back up into a pinball froth when you guys have another 4 pack of your own on the horizon a la the suite of tables than launched with FX2.

Yeh its understandable m8, Zen did say they are working on 12 non Marvel Tables as well as a Dr. Strange & Marvel civil war Table.. For me as long as the Table gives me enjoyment the Theme takes a back step.

Yeah but the best tables use the theme to an advantage I feel. The Marvel themes are all great, but as others have stated; the hero theme starts to feel a bit samey from table to table especially when it's one hero VS his villans.

I can't deny that I am excited about the Civil War and Dr. Strange tables though. Civil War is my all time favourite Marvel storyline and it features so many heroes and sections. So I really am curious how they are going to capture the feel of the war or if they are going to focus on a particular section; and Dr. Strange is well... Strange! So lots of possibilities xD.

I am looking forward to seeing what unique IP's come down the line though. I'd really like to see them tackle *generic themes* like bowling / snooker / casino gambling etc etc. These allow for some fun table toys.

I totally agree here. There's so many things they can do. Many I've already posted in the "table ideas" thread but a few I'd love to see is Wild West, Carnival and some kind of sports 4 pack like Football, Hockey, Baseball and American Football. Bowling sounds like it could be a fun idea too but it depends on how Zen implements bowling elements into the table. And as many have already stated, a crazy Steampunk themed table, or Tesla on FX2 at the very least.

                          Indeed.

Instead, Zygna will announce a brand new range of original pinball games, like:

                          Secrets of the Depths
                          Roma
                          Venus
                          Wizard's Lair

For me, the theme is at least as important as the table layout and rules.

It could be the best designed table in the history of pinball, but if the theme is all about NASCAR or Justin Bieber or Twilight then I'm just not going to play it, let alone buy it.

I used to think any pinball was good pinball. But given the choices we now have, that's not really true. Just as I'm not going to waste my time playing Jive Time in PHOF, I'm not going to play Speed Machine or Spiderman or Buccaneer or Iron Man any more. Not when there are better things to play.

It's very unlikely I will buy the next Marvel pack, or any more Marvel tables. I'm just not interested in the themes (they are, after all, designed for young/adolescent boys). I bought the V&V pack, but only for Moon Knight. I've barely played the other 3 tables.

And, just my opinion, but Zen really needs to get PFX 2.5 out before it releases new tables. Fix what we've already got, fix the tournament system, replace the ranking systems, increase the overall difficulty levels, stamp out ridiculous grinding, update tables regularly, improve the audio of all tables, and then release new tables, after extensive testing.

I'm 29 and I enjoy the Marvel themes. I can't help but feel that remark was condescending. Initially, comics may have been intended for a young male audience but that's hardly the case nowadays. Comic book based movies are a huge market that all different people watch. The comics themselves are still enjoyed by more of a niche audience but they aren't designed solely for teen boys.

I read the occasional comic too, whether it's a single issue or tarted up as a graphic novel.

But I do think that superhero comics are produced primarily to serve the power fantasies of adolescents, with themes, writing and characterisation to match.

I don't think this is a controversial argument, let alone a "condescending" one.

Super heroes have their place, but I prefer mine to have an Alan Moore bent to them. Or, a Brad Bird one.

Zen, how about an Incredibles table? Thanks!
