Still there
When I was running through this table the first time - about a month ago - I didn't notice it. Or at least I thought I didn't; I had a hard time figuring out which left lanes were the inlanes and the outlanes. Then after reading this thread, I ran into the Widow glitch a bunch while working on the EOB guide; now I know what was happening. Bleh...
Anways..
End of Ball bonus guide
Multipliers are raised by hitting the Iron Man ramp. It takes 2 shots with the Iron Man ball, and 4 shots with the others.
Base bonus
50,000 points per ball
Avengers chosen bonus
100,000 points per Avenger chosen per ball
It looks like this appears anytime you are prompted to chose an Avenger, including the beginning.
Modes started bonus
10,000 points per mode started per ball
Modes completed bonus
1 million points per mode completed per ball
Summary - not much going on. The majority of your EOB bonus will come from completing missions. If you complete enough missions you can amass a decent amount of points by raising the multiplier - it goes up to 20x. But given the work involved, and the risk should you miss a shot, I wouldn't recommend focusing on this much.

I do not think that this is a glitch cause I still have it on PS3. I think nomilarac's theory is quite accurate.
I mean, I had ball sinks no matter of what ball I used but I agree with nomicarc that the sink on a gate is on purpouse to prevent jackpot bonus grinding.
Do you still have ball sinks via Widow ramp on XBOX?Leave a comment:

I think, though, it'd be nice if subtleties as the one i described as a possible explanation of this particular bug made its way to some PFX/Zen table someday.Leave a comment:

About the thingy in the left outlane failing sometimes after a shot to the Black Widow ramp, thus sending the ball down the drain, I have a "theory".
Have you guys noticed the Black Widow ball feels kinda heavier than the rest? Well, i'm not 100% sure, but i think i have yet to suffer a "left outlane rollover fail" after sending the Black Widow ball to the the BW ramp. I think maybe the "random" fail after BW ramp shots might be more intended than not when using any other ball than the BW ball. Why? To encourage the use of the proper ball for BW ramp shots and increase the Jackpots-Mission rewards.Leave a comment:

Think about it, the key to score big in this table is to increase and eventually max the Jackpots-Mission Rewards by repeatedly shooting up the BW ramp, then proceed to complete missions up to the crazy Wizard mode. And it's not a really hard ramp to get the ball to, after all.
By making this key ramp shot somewhat unrelieable when not using the proper ball (the Black Widow ball), Zen might have very cleverly gimped "mindless" grinding your way to big scores, increasing the table difficulty in a very subtle way.
As i said, i'm not completely sure about this, but i have a very strong feeling that the Black Widow ball feels "diferent/heavier", and that it has an easier way through the left outlane passthrough thingy. It'd be great if you guys tried BW ramp shots with the BW ball and notice if it drains too. An official reply from a Zen insider would be the icing in the cake. Maybe one of the top scorers in the leaderboard could have some insight in this, too.
Anyway, even if it was not an intended feature and it does drain randomly regardless the ball you use, i still kinda like it. It makes you much more careful when trying to raise your Jackpots, forcing you to have either the left kickback or the ballsave active. If you haven't noticed, it's a ramp that has no other purpose other than raising your Jackpots, you always have other choices during missions with no safenet (i.e. multiball missions), and you can't really fail missions anyway. cLeave a comment:

The black widow ramp is an epic fail. Just totallt uncalled for, but what's mroe, it does sort of ruin the fun of playing this table. Just like some of the challenges on variosu tables are just way too much/hard. That's one reason their actual Rocky & Bullwinkle game flopped. Some parts were just way too ridiculously hard.Leave a comment:

Right and that is the Thor mission alone that you are referring to, the one I was talking about is the Hulk and Thor battle on the left side of the table their characters block the left outlane all together.Last edited by Crazy Bonus; 08-18-2012, 06:33 PM.Leave a comment:

A few tips
Hi there,
Just wanted to add my thoughts on a couple of things people have trouble with:
First of all, people mix up which lane corresponds to each character, so from left to right the lanes are:
Thor (with the spinner)
Black Widow
Nick Fury (the eagle symbol)
Iron Man (the curved lane on the left side of Loki)
Cap. America
Hawkeye (no, this is Not the Iron Man lane)
Hulk
The, for those having trouble doing death saves, or keeps swearing at the Black Widow lane drain, try nudging the table at a 45 degree upward to the direction the ball is rolling. So, if the ball drain at the left (including Black Widow drain), hold the left flipper and nudge up+right 45 degrees. And up+left if the ball drains at the right outlane. Pretty simple. An up nudge will in most cases not work.
Somebody said, that Thor randomly blocks the view in his mission. He only switches side when you hit the opposit lane left or right from where he is standing, so you can evade Loki's attacks.Last edited by Tberg; 07-29-2012, 07:09 PM.Leave a comment:

One huge design flaw on this table is when Hulk and Thor battle on the left side of the table they block your view of the left outlane. Wish they could have made the characters see through or as someone stated disable character animations other than that I really like it. Most of my high scores have come from multiball jackpots, I really haven't been trying to start missions yet.Leave a comment:

Thanks guys but Fear Itself must have a Max as it says an Extra Ball is attained once it has been maxed. Avengers has 3 ways for Extra Ball, non of which require maxing out the Multiplier.Leave a comment:

Fear Itself doesn't have a max that I'm aware of. I think I had it at 35x at one point. (Well I should look at the statistic page it might tell me my max Multiplier). Best ball I ever had only to lose the next 2-3 (Extra ball included) real fast and missed 1bil by 12m (sigh)
Any way not sure of the Avengers.Leave a comment:

The outlanes in this table are some of the most blatantly ridiculous on an table ever made. Seriously, whose the genius that decides "Hey, this table here, we're going to make this so you lose EVERY ball in the outlane. If you have the skill to keep it out of the center, we're just going to give you the finger and force it out the outlane, like it's our job. Especially when you've successfully just hit Black Widow's ramp. Yeah. That one THERE...that's going to be a drain."
I'm sure I'll get over this. But until my games quit getting derailed with this silly nonsense...I'm heated. lolLeave a comment:

I love Loki's voice work on this one. "What have I to fear?" I like when he says "you don't belong to them Hulk", and then Hulk just let's out a low growl, lol.Leave a comment:
