The Infinity Gauntlet's Inspiration

It's times like this that I wish I know the underlying stories behind the tables themselves. I can't call myself a Marvel fan. I can only claim to have heard of most of the Marvel superheroes. I hadn't heard of any of these crossover stories, Infinity Gauntlet included, so obviously those quotes and the like have gone straight over my head.

That's the main reason I created this thread. So that guys like yourself could get a better appreciation of the tables and the comics as well. I'm not very familiar with the more recent story lines. I've had to do a lot of research on wikipedia and other sites about Fear Itself and WWH. But you're right, you don't have to know all the back story to enjoy the table.

I find the avengers table the most challenging for me. I think my high score is only 43 m. Love fear itself table. Got all tables and like every one but V-12. Checking ps store for Zen 2 for that could be suprise.

Been reading the Surfer crossovers. Surfer wasn't a great comic by this time, but god how I miss the Infinety Gauntlet story... its what Secret Wars 2 shoulda been.
Anyone who likes the space stuff plese check out the Annhilation series... it was a crossover with Nova and several other space-bound folx (Rafie, you read them?). They made me laugh cry and think deep (rare for even Marvel) and are classics. Super-skrull Mister Fantastic-ing his arm into a spawns mouth, then turning it into the Things arm was just one of many classic scemes...

As for most difficult, Avengers table for me. I just can't do jack on that table (got my achievment for the bang-back though); not sure if its because its hard or not, just doesn't flow for me at all (or it does flow, and then the flow ends with a Widow ramp dump.) Fear Itself has hardest missions imo.

the infinity saga was awesome without it we wouldn't had the cosmic marvel revival in 2006
it also made known characters so important like Adam Warlock and Thanos himself (before this series this character weren't that well known outside their titles)
o hope Zen consider other cosmic based tables in the future like Nova and the guardians of the galaxy or even a Thanos Imperative table

OH! Did not catch that part, thanks Shogun! We've been talking about shirt/merch ideas off and on for a while, nothing set in stone (or cloth?) yet. I wants me a ZEN SHIRT :P
