I guess you'll have to give us sine new table content to purchase so we can test this

Thanks. Of course the problem that I'm having now is that my Windows Store is broken. I keep getting the message that Windows Store was unable to load the full package list from AppX.

I wonder if it's possible to download it from another machine (I have a laptop connected to the same network that I'm on) and then transfer the install file to my main desktop.

EDIT: I refreshed my PC and now all is well. Thanks.

So how can I get past this?

    Paypal

I was having the same problem when I was trying to pay using Paypal. I went to xbox.com and made a new payment method using a credit card. Tried to buy the games using this new payment method and it worked.

    Possible workaround

Found this possible workaround by accident.

I went through the purchase process on the Surface Pro and got the same error as everyone else "NOT_LOCALIZE_YET".

I switched over to Windows 7 computer and went to Xbox.com to check my account for something else and I was going through my payment options and I don't remember how, but I had an option to confirm my payment for Star Wars Pinball, so I clicked Confirm and it purchased and click Done. Went to my Surface Pro and had the options to download the Star Wars tables and it worked!

I don't know if you can basically do the same workaround by going to Windows 8 desktop browser.

    Hopefully that helps!

Understand that I have to be diplomatic in the way I say things, because criticizing one's business partners in public is seldom productive.
Even if you could reproduce it, it wouldn't help. As you said, you call one function and display the result. If that result is "purchase cannot be completes at this time" what can you do? The issue also occurs in the game app outside of your running code.

I guess the only question is what's different between these updates and the other tables? Are there purchase dependencies? Region locks? Pinball fx version requirements? Perhaps all that can be removed from future table offerings so that rather than handling that at purchase time it can be handled by user updating the software. I think the bug is on MS end. But the key to solving it may be marking the content the same way as say sorcerers lair. If that's even possible.

I hope you're still working with Microsoft on this. When one of us call them, they assume its one person too stupid to work in their perfectly working store. When you guys call them at least they know its a wide spread issue impacting business.

Before the update and now, I tried to purchase the collections many times, but always give me error.

One more thing, for the first table of Star Wars I get the message "NOT_LOCALIZED_YET".
I was never able to buy either of those packs from in the game - I had to go to the Win8 store and buy them. Give that a try.
