- Backglass Image on 2nd Screen, change by selected Table
- DMD on 2nd/3rd Screen official Options
Nothing new at the moment. We haven't added any more cab features since the update at the beginning of June. From the patch notes:
- To improve on cabinet support it is now possible to start tables from the command line. Add the name of the table's pxp from the data_steam folder as a parameter when launching the game.
- Backglass Image on 2nd Screen, change by selected Table
- DMD on 2nd/3rd Screen official Options
Be great to see something like this implemented. Although I'm still to finish my cab, when I trial ran it, I put a memory stick in the back glass monitor with a generic Pfx2 image...would be miles better with the image changing as the game changed.
A simple movable, scalable Window (for Backglass Screen 2, as like your DMD Solution) with an Image Changer would be nice - and easy for Programming,
this Window should just grab a Image from a Folder with the same Name as Table you play.
That is so hard ? (Edit: maybe solved with Pinball X )
The intro video/animation that runs in the background when selecting the Table would make the perfect animated Backglass to run on a second display with the dmd as part of the image.
Those animations really are fantastic but hard to see behind the menu's and its such a waste not to be able to admire them while the tables running.
Heres a mockup(not animated) and what it looks like with two monitors .. I think this would be the best way to do backglasses for PFX2.
It is not official support from Zen, but there is video backglass support for cabs through PinballX. There are video backglasses for nearly every table.
OH! fantastic
So went and I grabbed these and I was thinking about the grill..but You know what I think I'll just print a picture of the grill and glue it some foam board instead then you don't need to care about hiding the boarders of the DMD etc.
Here's what it looks like with just black foam board cut out.
One step closer. I still think official backglass that was from the menu animations would be better but for now this will work
