Why isn't every table on Zen Pinball in Pinball FX and vice-versa? It there something I don't understand that makes this difficult? Is it somehow more profitable to have some tables on one platform others on the other? I love the Zen pinball products on both platforms and support them both, but I also try not to buy the tables twice. FWIW, I tend to prefer the X360 controller over the PS3 controller.

Well I completely agree but here is what they say about it :
"There will always be tables that are exclusive to one platform or the other. It's simply the cost of doing business with Sony and Microsoft."

As I've said in another thread on this, I would kill for the Mars table. I understand why Sony and Microsoft want exclusives when it comes to the big retail games. I can see that someone might buy a 360 just because it has Halo or Gears of war, or a PS3 because it has Gran Turismo.
But in the case of a pinball game, as great as it is, I can't imagine someone buying a 360 or a PS3 just because it has an exclusive table.
I am jonesing for the Mars table, but I'm not going to buy a PS3 for it. If it were on Pinball FX2, I would buy it in a heartbeat, along with every other Zen Pinball table. I wouldn't even try them first.
I'm sure that most (or at least very many) people would feel the same. So, I can't see how releasing the Zen Pinball tables for Pinball FX 2, and vice-versa, could result in anything other than more money for Sony, more money for Microsoft, more money for Zen, and more fun for everyone.
Hopefully, as others have said, this "exclusivity" will be the timed sort (a la GTA DLC), and not the absolute sort (a la Halo etc).

Solitude: Also, Paranormal and Mars tables will be coming to PFX2. I'm not sure of the exact date, though.
But when zen will release a next table, it will be released to both platforms again, so pfx2 will have 16 tables and we 11 tables.
I hope, that we get pfx2's tables or our own tables that fx2 wouldn't get.
Both games should get exactly the same number of tables.Last edited by Oskari14; 10-27-2010, 07:24 AM.PINBALL4EVER!!!!

It took a good deal of convincing myself to put of the cash for a second console. Since i really didnt need it. Just for the record, i dont regret it one bit. Pinball FX currently has 6 tables that are unavailable on Zen Pinball and after tomorrow, with the addition on Pinball FX 2, that count will rise to 10.

As much as I am a pinball nut, I will never buy another $200 - $300 system just to play pinball. Those that by every table for all the systems/Mobile devices must be pretty well off financially.

Everything else is fair game, but most of the tables on the 360 seem to have an exclusive contract deal. We'll just have wait until the contract expires.

It's extremely unlikely that any of the early PFX1 tables will make it to ZP2. They were scripted in a way that's not compatible with our new engine and would basically have to be completely rebuilt. The tables in question are: Agents, Extreme, Speed Machine, Buccaneer, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Nightmare Mansion. It's not just ZP2 - it's also extremely unlikely that these tables will appear in any future titles of ours on any platform, including Microsoft's.
