I'll see your grover and raise your a Kermit. And the voices on the tables don't bother me at all and I've been playing them a lot. Though to be honest I've been hard core on Empire Strikes back... I think I almost was able to break away and go back to Fett (his voice is awesome) but then I saw Luke do a handstand and I was back in.

To be honest I can understand why people dislike the sound-alikes for famous actors/characters. Fans want authenticity.

Having said that I'm not bothered by Zen using alternate actors who are intended to sound similar to the film cast, due to the necessity to create original lines. I'd rather have unique lines that are custom fit to the table rather than only recycled film soundtrack clips. This was actually a downside to another recent game, Lego: Lord of the Rings. They chose to license the voice tracks to the films for authenticity. The problem is it prevented them from crafting original dialog and ad-lib humor.

If I recall correctly the Avengers movie table uses soundalikes as well, which I don't mind either. On the grounds that it makes it fit in better with the rest of Zen's Marvel tables. I don't know if all the actors in the Avengers table are the same as for the other tables (like Iron Man and Captain America) but it creates the sense of the pinball tables existing in their own universe.

I'm not 100% on this but seem to recall it's a licensing issue. When Lucas created Starwars, he got all the stars to sign over rights to reproduce their physical likeness. This enabled him to create the huge range of merchandise that came with the films. However this only covers the visual and not audio (given that sound sampling in toys was pretty non existent at the time).

Thus, the stars would have to be paid to use their actual voices and no doubt don't come cheap.

At a tribute/roast of George Lucas, Carrie Fisher commented that she had to pay him everytime she looked in the mirror

In other news, Carrie Fisher has just announced that she has signed up to be in the sequels that are in pre-production at Disney! I'm sure this time she will negotiate more lucrative terms for her contract.

P.S. I would also love a "Disable Yoda" option on the Clone Wars table... gets very repetitive.

I hate to even say this, but I hate it so much that I would probably pay for this option. It's like having a Yoda impersonator trapped in the room with you and he won't stop reading you a lame fortune-cookie every 2-5 seconds. It's painful.

Other than the VO's on these tables (and mostly just Clone Wars) though I think they're great. The last 3 movies absolutely killed Star Wars for me, and I still really like these tables!

Yeah I would love an option to shut Yoda up on Clone Wars. It's not a great impersonation to begin with, and the lines he says are uninspired and repetitive. If you've ever seen the movie "Mystery Men" they have a character called The Sphinx who is just like this, and the other characters make fun of him.

I'm fine with all the other voices in the all the tables, it's just this constant Yoda fortune-cookieing gets on my nerves!

I love the repetitive Yoda voice work. He's dropping Zen quotes the whole time. *shakes head*
