  • Aarrrgh!!!

    Have to vent/confess....

    Was playing Empire.

    Last ball.
    Sabre Saver active. 9x multiplier.
Just finished Mission 2. Had to nudge the table twice to get the ball trapped.
Alarm goes off to get sometime out of the oven. Pause game.
Come back, unpause game. Decide I want the ball on the other flipper; nudge pass.

    TILT

%#$$%. Forgot about what I had done 30 seconds ago, which was only 2 seconds ago game time.
    Finished at 927 million.

Been about 4 months since I last played that table. Might be another 4 months before I do it again.

Anyone else got any stories to make me feel better?
Tables completed: Ms Splosion Man, Spiderman, BioLab, Captain America, Empire Strikes Back, The Avengers, Wolverine, World War Hulk, Sorcerer's Lair, Fantastic Four, Blade, X-Men, Thor, Moon Knight, Infinity Gauntlet, Super League Football, Starfighter Assault, Han Solo
Billionaire's Club: Spider-Man, World War Hulk, The Avengers, Sorcerer's Lair, Empire Strikes Back, Captain America, Ms. Splosion Man, Han Solo

    Ooooh, harsh.....but.....lol!

Don't worry though, during the Empire tournament I had a 1.8 bil and a 1.9 bil that both ended in game freezes. The 1.9 was only on my second ball too. Just couldn't go back to it after that. Annoying thing was that at that point I knew about the bugs and how to mostly avoid them. I was careful not to start modes when no LANDO letters were lit but it happened by accident.

I didn't cry. But it was close.

Submitted 1.4 for the tourney I think and didn't get any slippers

Anyone know if the table is fixed yet on Xbox btw? I asked in the bug thread recently but no reply.

Well if it helps you made me smile!

I've had a few similar things happen, usually when chasing trophies. I can remember putting the controller down to pause the game and accidentally nudging which caused a tilt.

Same here! I think it has happened to most of us at one time or another.

What I really don't like is the audio cues on the recent tables. Instead of saying "watch out" on the second tilt warning, they now all say it on the first warning and leave it silent the on the second warning. It's causing me to accidentally tilt the table more, because I didn't notice the second warning ("danger" on the DMD).

Agreed, but I do like it when the Emperor says "Goooood. I can feel your anger..." as a second warning on ROTJ

Well, I'm going at it again, and so far so good.
About 350 million, with the wizard mode complete, and still on my first ball.
Of course, things can go downhill on this table very quickly.

I know the old thread is right above this one right now, but I'll ask here - to clarify avoiding the game ending bugs (an even worse fate than my tilt-a-thon):

            1. On the 2nd round and beyond of Empire awards, when near the end, make sure a kickback/Sabre Saver or the Multipliers Held is not active (unless both already awarded earlier in the round).

            2. When gaining a Yoda award, make sure at least one of the LANDO letters is lit.
Are there other things an empty LANDO can mess you up on?

            Anything else?

I think you have to make sure there is at least one LANDO letter lit when starting pretty much any mission/ mode iirc.

Thanks. I've never had a LANDO glitch, even though I know I've started modes without a letter lit, including several occasions in the game I just finished (broke my prev high score and made it to 1.48 billion).
Wonder what triggers it to go bad?

It crashes if you have all 3 kickbacks lit and then start something with no LANDO letters.

When I used to play I found that this wasn't a sometimes or a maybe bug, if you meet the criteria above it will crash every time. Although I do remember that on certain things (Hurry Ups perhaps) it will eventually bring another ball into play if you wait long enough but for for other things it will just lock completely.
