  • Annoying Table Sounds in Heroes Within Tables

it may just be me idk there are two really annoying sound effects on han solo squeaky noise and the sound of han solo running when u hit the right side ramp I know that's not sound like him in that movie scene running away from storm troopers, just one in masters of the force I not sure if its suppose to sound like a buzzing when u hit the jesi hologron crystal.

Sound on Droids table on far bottom left makes me think I'm playing the Super League Football table

I'm ok with all those sound effects. I think they are cool.

However I think some voice recordings were recorded at too high a volume, they sound "scratchy" don't know what word to describe it.

Also I'm tired of Han Solo cantina music. Those steel drums are so annoying to me.

I have only played the Han Solo table very quickly and I already noticed some recycled sounds from older tables (I think one sound is from Ms. Splosion Man). I understand that it can be quite tough to keep on creating each and every sound from scratch for a new table but I must admit that it is one of the first things on a table that gets under my skin when playing it. I remembered when I first heard a sound from Wolverine repeated on another table, it actually made me feel real disappointed even though I can understand that sourcing new and authentic sounds can't be too easy.

It doesn't disappoint me at all, it's usually only a few sounds anyways. The music, however, is disappointing when the music is recycled, which in this case, is only happening with a couple Star Wars tables. It's understandable, though. End of the day, it's all top-notch stuff.

Kind of off-topic, but ZP2's sound settings are way higher than most games. I toned it down yesterday.

I don't like that the same samples are used for different tables. "rebel base"...Darth Vader table and A New Hope...and many more. Of course there are not that many popular lines but unique lines for one table would have been better. After all, the lines are special for a table. Sharing sounds among tables is not ideal.

I'm wondering if it's intentional to a certain extent? Real pinball machines also do it too, especially on tables from Williams. It's their form of an easter egg and Zen may be doing the same thing.

                Examples:
White Water has a hurry-up mode that uses the same music as the hurry-up mode on the Terminator 2 table.
Junk Yard has a "Mamushka" scoring mode that's also on the Addams Family table (music and all).

I don't think so but maybe Barbie knows the answer?

Each table has a concept, a theme...and everything that is said during gameplay should fit the table and shouldn't be just random talk. I guess good and popular lines are rare so they are used for more than one table. Maybe the packs are also targeted at a casual audience that buys one pack of SW tables but not all available tables like us pinball lovers. The well-known lines appear once per pack only so maybe those who buy only 1 pack should also hear the best lines.

                    1. Actually the Terminator 2 Hurry-Up Theme seems to be a recurring gag. It spread over to Fish Tales, Whitewater, and Twilight Zone. Also for some reason it appears in Monopoly and Rollercoaster Tycoon as well.
                    2. The Mamushka in Junkyard is a feature accessible from the Time Machine. The reason I like this use of recycled modes is because it is implied in the theme of the table and opens up your imagination.
                    Completed Tables:
Spider-Man, Ms. Splosion Man, Captain America, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, Sorcerer's Lair, Plants vs. Zombies, The Avengers, World War Hulk, Civil War, Return of the Jedi, Starfighter Assault, Super League Football

Re-using sound effects and music is done to save money. Obviously.

Shut him up or shut him down!

This is suicide, there's nowhere to go!

I can deal with a few reused sound effects, like the tilt warning noise and bonus-x ding, but I would pay a hundred dollars to be able to go into the operator's menu and disable specific audio cues. Seriously, I've stopped caring about skill shots on the Han Solo table once I complete the TIE Fighter Attack mode and instead just launch the ball with full power simply so I don't have to listen to "This is suicide, there's nowhere to go!" from C-3PO repeatedly, even if that means forgoing quadruple jackpots in other modes. It's not just annoying to hear that again and again, but he says it so damn often that it overlaps other sounds when you finally launch the ball, and sounds ridiculous. This is suicide, there's nowhere to go!

This is suicide, there's nowhere to go! I love the Han Solo table, and I'm extremely impressed by the person who performs Harrison Ford's lines. But oh my god 3PO, I wish Chewbacca would pull your arms out of your sockets.

I think if they wrote something simple in the code so any quote can't be repeated within 3-5 minutes no matter what it would help maybe?

Imagine a new horror-themed table with annoying lines such as "yooouuuu suck", "drain! the! ball!" etc.
