  • Launch Button

    Hey everybody,
At the risk of of looking really green, I'm still going to ask, where or what is my launch button on my Ipad? I just purchased my first Star Wars Pinball game, so I'm stuck when, among others, the light sabre duel comes up. Thanks, Stony

There must be a check mark on your screen if an action is available with the launch button.

I play on a Kindle Fire tablet and have some problems with this as well.

For example, on the Blade table, apparently you can hold the launch button to speed through the day/night cycle, but on a tablet this doesn't seem to be possible.

Also never even been close to winning the Jedi Training mode on ESB table for similar reasons, it doesn't seem possible to hold the flipper buttons or utilize any kind of launch in this mode.

I just tested the jedi training mode on ESB on my iPad. It's working fine for me. Tapping the left side of the screen (i.e. a left flipper activation) parries left, tapping the right side of the screen parries right, and tapping the checkmark/launch button parries up.

In regards to Blade and the night/day cycling mechanic, I think Zen made a conscious decision to omit this functionality. It would have required a dedicated button on the screen at all times. I don't think it was that crucial to include it. However, tables that include magna saves must have some kind of a semi-permanent button when you have a magna save in your pocket. I just wish they would allow you to customize the location and size of the button. I occasionally activate magna saves by accident because the location of the button is so close to where I normally activate the right flipper.

I think you just answered my question, thank you. I had no idea what or where the 'launch button" was on my Ipad. I assume the checkmark you refer to is the same checkmark that appears on my screen when I am prompted to choose a scene or character, etc... I will look for it when I next get to the sabre duel. An aside....this game is hard! I can not imagine ever getting through these scenes. The time limit to the individual tasks is what does me in.
