I couldn't find a rotj thread, anyhow, does anyone have any tips , tricks, or strategies for this table? I've been out of the loop for awhile, is this one of the SW tables that people even like? Thanks a ton, happy early Devil's Night!

Have you had a look at ShoryukenToTheChin's Return of the Jedi table guide?

One of my personal favourite tables, might even be my number one.

It's worth hitting the Jabba Target/Sink Hole several times on the far left to get the rewards and this also lights the R2-D2 rollovers which then can activate the Ball-save. All the info is in the excellent guide but just thought I would mention this point.

An excellent tip, as I have found out for myself.

Don't forget to use the R2-D2 pullback when you need to (launch key, usually Enter), as it doesn't automatically save your ball; it only gives you another chance to save it! Look out for the big tick to the right of the screen, as this tells you when you can use it; if the blue "Shoot Again" light isn't lit, when the ball rolls towards the bottom sink hole, hit your launch key to suck it back up and try again. Note that for every R2-D2 pullback you collect and keep without using, is an extra 1 million points awarded to you when you successfully save the ball. So, for example, if you manage to keep 4 pullbacks after activating the "Shoot Again" feature, you will get 4 million points. Also note that this will reset the pullback count to zero, so be sure to try and get at least one more pullback back after saving the ball.

Another tip is to make good use of the tilt keys. If you notice that the ball is about to go down one of the two outlanes, try tilting the table either left or right. Since the ball tends to be very bouncy on this table, there is a very good chance that you can knock it back out and/or away safetly, before it goes down. Just make sure not to tilt the table too much, otherwise it will lock the flippers, and you will loose your ball.

I didn't know about that first tip OU7, very nice, thank you! Nice to see that tilting is useful on this table. Have you ever performed a bangback on it yet?

I didn't know what you meant by "bangback", so I looked it up on the 'net, and found it here

Very interesting, I didn't realise you could actually do that.
So, no mate, I haven't... I'm taking it you have done this in Pinball FX2?

Also found out I've been doing "Flip Traps".

Yes, I taught myself how to do bangbacks on these tables a few years ago. And you can't do it on every table, most of the newer ones you can. It does take practice, and even then pretty much impossible tp perform it right every time! Very satisfying feeling when you do get it down though.

I have! It's just harder to pull off on some of them, but it's still possible.

Really Shogun?? That's extremely cool! I thought on most of the older ones you couldn't. That is really good to know. Thanks bud.

Yeah! The hardest one to pull it off on was V12, but there was a sweet spot. Once I figured out where it was, I was able to perform the bang back 3 times in a row on that table.
