New favourite table since ZP2 release ?

Ok, as the title say's, i have all the tables for zp1 and put quite a fair bit of play in on them all and by far and away my favourite tables are socerer's lair & mars but since the release of zp2 i'm hooked playing earth defence, this table used to really annoy me but now it's quickly becoming my new favourite table, it's awesome since the update and far more playable imo.

So does anyone else have a new favourite table ?

Well, I haven't actually played all the tables, ever... I stopped buying tables on XBLA (the only place I played Zen previously) soon after Mars released, so I can't say if my opinion has *changed* per se, rather more like "taken a new direction with all these lovely new tables I get to see on my Vita!

*ahem* Back on track, previously, my favorite tables were Agents (I believe that one was upgraded from ZP1 on Xbox ...) and Spiderman, because they were easy. Well, easy to keep the ball in play... I never have any idea what goal or anything I'm actually trying to perform, heh.

Now, Plants vs Zombies is my current favorite, which TOTALLY surprised me! I've played two levels of the actual PVZ game, and I'm not into tower defense games, so I didn't like the original flash game. But, but, but... this table has captured me! The ball hardly ever drains on normal difficulty, so I can keep it in play and watch stuff, (good, fun, animated stuff I might add) happen. And multi-ball... oh my goodness, is multi-ball easy to get! Which is giving me a chance to actually practice multi-ball. So yeah, as a total surprise to myself, I'd say it's my current favorite table.

I haven't tried all the tables yet on ZP2 but I agree with you, Earth Defense has improved so much. I always loved the ZP original, even if it was rock hard. Now it plays much nicer, it feels a little less forgiving too. I might even try for all 10 medals! Love to get that trophy one day.

Oh, and it looks absolutely gorgeous now, so shiny and the colours look lush. Great lighting too.

Blade is still my all-time favorite. The improvements just boost it up to 11.

However, I do a agree with you. The improvements have re-arranged some of my favorites around. For example, Shaman is much more fun to play now. Not only did they get rid of the annoying slowdown and camera glitches. They also change some of the table rules, especially when casting the natural disasters. Oh and the multiball ball mode is very high rewarding (1 million point jackpots). I used to avoid this mode, because locking the balls would cause a slow down in ZP1.

It's funny you should say about Earth Defence. I've played it many, many times on ZP1, but then when I played it in ZP2 I've only just noticed the flipper at the upper-centre of the table. I was like "How come I never noticed that before?"

All the original ZP1 table much more playable now. I used to struggle scoring them on the old physics, but now it seems to be a lot easier now. The biggest change I've noticed is on Mars. In the previous game scores were very low and you'd do well to reach 10 million. Now it seems like all scores are ten-fold.

Moving back to the topic in hand... is it okay to have multiple favourites? Mine are Tesla, Moon Knight and Fear Itself. However the award for Most Improved has to be Earth Defence. Worst Table remains Super Street Fighter 2, I'm afraid, as there is still no obvious way of telling you what to shoot for next when lighting the kanji characters. I was hoping that would be fixed. It wasn't.

Good topic, tough question. I just finished playing all 26 tables over the last two days. I find big improvment on all, like jeppo said ED is great now. I cant pick new fav cause I love em all except V-12. I'll repost after playing them all again. FI, EXC, and Mars may be top picks.

earth defence is way better medals do not vanish when losing a ball like zp one witch also annoyed me and i wanted to love that one so much now i can same with street fighter and sigma 2 i cant choose because they are all so great

My top table hasn't changed. Fear Itself is hands down my favorite table by leaps an bounds. I don't think any table can surpass it quite yet. There is just something so fun about that table. The table is challenging but surmountable and you are rewarded for it.

I guess I'm one of those that are tired of tables that have a multitude of extra balls. Extra balls are rare on this table. When you get one it's like 'It's about time!'

The missions are so varied and utilizes the aspect of the table really well. The various multiballs take a but getting to and can be rewarding when you do so. Very deep table IMO. Lot's to do. Can't say anything bad about it right now.

Other's that round the list is Epic Quest, Sorcerer's Lair, MARS, X-Men, now that the new physics changed some of the older tables TESLA, EL Dorado are doing well but nothing can surpass Fear Itself

After Sorcerer's Lair, Plants vs Zombies is my second most loved table.
The first time i played it, i had a huge score.
That means that my concentration doesn't go away because my eyes like what they see.

Okay, I played a few more tables today.

Earth Defense is much more playable now and I'm really enjoying it. I almost got the 10 medals trophy without trying too hard. It's easy to hit the rescue hole and missed ramp shots no longer go SDTM.

Is the slow down gone in Spiderman during the JJ mission?

Insane ? no not yet, i suppose there is still time left in my lifetime for that yet though Ok, so on a serious note though, i know ZP2 has only been out a matter of days now but that's the thing, it took only an hour or so worth of play for me to realise just how much the earth defence table has changed since the new table physics, i yearned to love this table in ZP1 but it usually left me feeling like i wanted to break something, but now it has really grown on me even in such a short space of time, it's definitely my fav table now and that's what inspired me to make this thread.

Hard choice. I've always had a thing for Tesla, and being so much improved it is now probably my #1. Earth Defence raised a lot from my least favorite. It is very much improved and.. I could eventually make some 10 million points? The MP tables are all good apart from the ones with just ramps. I hate them. And among them I always liked a lot Capt America! But i still have to try all of them. It's good to see that even the MP ones got a restyling. At òeast Wolverine. It isn't that yellow anymore.

It is easier to say which one is my least favorite: V12. I never liked that table. I've got all trophies previously and that was it. Now I played a little and I was bored already. Together with Iron man (see the ramps).

Ok, now the problem is: 26 tables. And more will come. Who in earth has the time?? They are too many!!!
