Ok, this really deserve a special thread. On ZP1 i couldn't make any point in Earth Defence, I think my record was 13 ml or so, now I played a couple of minutes and I made 67 millions??

I am asking to the EA pros: is the game just a bit easier or the scores have been changed? Just to be sure I played a bit the ZP1 version, same old crap. No points. Or was it bugged?

I'm no expert but the new physics has changed all of the core ZP1 and the earlier DLC like Excalibur, Earth defense substantially. TESLA, El Dorado, Shaman play much better and certain ramps that were tough to get with accurate shots are much easier.

All I know is that Earth Defense is much more playable now and I'm enjoying it much more.

1st bit in bold, same here i think 11 mil was my top score i just couldn't seem to rack up any high scores on this table.

2nd bit in bold, this is a question i to would like answered, i was never any good on this table in ZP1, and never took the time to really engage myself in the table rules and which shot's could rake in the high scores, but now the millions just seem to be stacking up, i just hit a 144 mil game earlier today and still feel there is room for a huge improvement.

Another question i would like answered from those in the know is when playing the salvation mission should i fill the vehicle with 5 passengers before shooting the ramp or can i just shoot the ramp with say 2/3 passengers and then repeat. Does this have any bearing on the final points award when the mission is complete ?

Oh yes, it's much easier. I was able to get 9 out of the 10 medals without even trying. On ZP1, it took me a whole month to get all 10 medals with lots of frustration.

The ZP1 version was plagued with problems.

- Constant STDMs on failed ramp shots.
- Hard to shoot holes (rescue and mission).
- The annoying ball spin glitch.
- The top mini flipper was glitched (could not hold up).

All of those problems have been addressed on the ZP2 version. If you fail a ramp shot, the ball always hits the tip of the flipper and it's easier to make a hole shot (sans the subway, which isn't necessary anymore). I'm really amazed at how easy it is to hit the rescue hole.

Ok, Shogun, but what about the scores? Have they been fixed as well? In ZP2 I see 500,000 and 1millions popping out from nowhere. In Zp1 I ended up many games with not even 1 million!!

The scoring is about the same (slightly improve). The Air Strike Multiball is really the only high scoring mode on the table. Every hole, orbit and left/right ramp shot during that mode increases the jackpot value (up to 100 million). You collect the jackpot by hitting the center ramp.

I'm fairly confident the scoring system has been revamped drastically on this table and on Mars as well.
