What's the future of Zen Pinball?

I see a lot of this same question in several threads so perhaps we could centralize our thoughts.

I love Zen Pinball. It is the main reason I power up my PS3 these days. With the release of ZP2, this game has gone into the stratosphere for me. Perhaps the fine folks at Zen could chime in with this but, the question on our minds is: What's next? We know we have the Fantastic Four table coming but what else can we look forward to? Is ZP winding down or do we have another full year of releases? Will we ever see any of the Xbox tables?

Aren't there other unannounced partnerships in the works as well? I don't think those tables will be out before the end of the year. I'm all for new tables but I would like to see some of the xbox tables on the PS3 and vice versa.

I can understand exclusives but having tables just for the xbox wont make me buy an xbox. I'm not sure why they would think that.

In fact I'm playing the older tables much more than the new ones now except maybe Fear Itself and X-men.

Personally, with so many tables to (re)play on ZP2, I'm not in any rush to get new tables.

But If I would like to see something, it would be more fantasy tables. I just love fantasy themes like Sorcerer's Lair and Excalibur!

i hope that they do not do any more marvel tables there are other tables too i like the marvel tables but id like to see more like non marvel tables.

fantasy themes like epic quest with its auto saving your levels and loot.

I don't think those tables will be out before the end of the year.

Actually I believe they will be out before the year ends. According to the interview that was done with Zen by Game Informer, you could very well see those tables by the end of the year. Especially Dr. Strange. Since the debut of Marvel tables, Zen has always released some tables every December in packs. I believe the same thing will happen this year. What will it be? We don't know, but isn't it fun speculating?!

Oh, so those are confirmed? I wasn't aware of that. Still, I do enjoy most of the Marvel tables (the exceptions being X-Men and Avengers) but I was hoping for some news on original table ideas like Sorcerer's Lair and Paranormal.

Zen never announces their plans until the tables are ready to release. We do know that two more Marvel tables are in the works (Dr. Strange and Civil War) and we also know that 12 non-Marvel tables are in development. Many of those are linked with partnerships.

According to Barbie, nothing has come out of it yet. They are still pretty much in the negotiation phase for that one.

We did kick around the idea of an Archer table, but who knows... maybe someday! I am a huge Archer fan, so it would be cool to see that happen. We also have a HUGE reveal coming up later on with a very popular name that I know you guys will go crazy over. I can't wait!

Spuds MacKenzie table confirmed! lol. I'll be happy with anything you guys puts out. My top 10 would probably be a 5/5 mix of original tables/licensed tables.

Don't pass up on x-men. I thought the same thing then I finally realized how deep the table really was and it became my favorite. Blade was one of those I was adamant about and didn't care for it. Since ZP2 was released I have grown attached to it but not as much as the other marvel tables I love. Ghost Rider is the only marvel table that I don't particularly care for.

I'm going to guess: Game of Thrones. Actually more likely the Hobbit since the first movie comes out in December.

I said in that other thread that I wasn't interested in any more Marvel tables (I'm just not a fan of many of them), but a Dr Strange table I would buy so long as it has a strong magic/fantasy feel to it. That way I can pretend it isn't another super-hero table.


It's also awesome to hear that there are 12 new tables in the works?!? YES!
