    Lovecraft

    Hey guys!

Thank you for the Aliens tables!

When can we expect new tables?

ON TOPIC: How about a Lovecraft table or pack, with Cthulhu, the old ones, Dagon, Shoggoths (you name it)!?

How about anything from White Wolf Publishing, i.e. Vampire The Masquerade table/s.

Maybe a deal with Fox also means the possibility of The X-Files? That would be cool.
Also thinking along the lines of Fox comedy--Married with Children!

Completely unrelated--I wonder if Saban would be open to licensing Power Rangers? The over the top themes, huge visuals and metal music--why the pinball table almost creates itself.

While a Halo table would be awesome. I also doubt that Zen would do it. They want their tables across all platforms now. When tables were exclusive to one platform, it was a huge debacle. Halo is Microsoft's title and they ain't releasing that no where else but Xbox and PC.

I am on board with that Matt Groening pack though. People have been requesting those 2 tables you've mentioned for years now. Like you said, the chances of that happening is high seeing as they have/had a deal with FOX.

Tables based on Newspaper Comic Strips

How about a slightly more adult table like Playboy? They did have several actual Pinball made for them.
    Beach Girls
    Doom (from the game)

Peanuts is an awesome idea!!! Perhaps it could be part of a "best of newspaper comic strips" bundle. There would be many comic strips to choose from for such an idea such as: dilbert, beetle bailey, haggar, garfield, bloom county, doonesbury, calvin & hobbes, mother goose and grimm, get fuzzy, life in hell, the far side, pearls before swine, the boondocks.

Also gotta give huge props for the idea of James bond tables. The idea in itself is awesome, though i suspect the licensing fees for that franchise might be so high that it might require some type of a kickstarter campaign. Hopefully that is not the case.

    Groening Tables

Recently Zen Pinball brought out tables based on the family of FOX Animated properties (Family Guy, American Dad, Bob's Burgers, Archer).

Thinking along similar lines --how about a Matt Groening double pack? The Simpsons and Futurama seem like natural fits and with both series having many seasons and a developed in-series history there are lots of scenarios to choose from that could become goals or triggered events during the course of pinball play.

    Halo table(s)
Lightbridges instead of rails, at least on a Forerunner themed table.
"Space" battles that randomly pop above the table and play out.
"Ground" battles that randomly play various, transforming table architecture, ie, a Halo Wars 2 theme would have the table being built like a base via Pelican drops, depending on how the table is actually playing out. A Forerunner themed map can literally phase in new routes or pieces.
Can mix in different ball traits, such as turning it into an Assault Bomb that can be planted within a time limit. Don't plant it, the explosion can still get certain local area on the table bonus knockdowns/activations.
A LOT OF Halo music! Same for weapon sounds. (Don't be afraid to throw in a lot of Sarge either!).

Heck, an Infinity themed map can involve the table being the hangar deck and the rails act like cargo lifts and such. Constant craft moving in and out... Then Covenant remnants attack inside the bay.. Lots of Roland chatting. I mean Deadpool-style lots!

Thanks for this!! I also enjoy the original Zen tables and find them deeply entertaining. I especially like the extra wide tables (the table is so big that it scrolls!) such as Secrets of the Deep and Earth Defense.

Several suggestions for original, license-free tables:

*You made a soccer table, how about an american football table?

*A pinball table with holes where you can sink the pinball and obstacles that can divert the pinball's direction seems to me to be tailor made for golf!!

*Your MARS table seems to be tailor made for a sequel--so the explorers discover that there is alien life on MARS in the first table--what happens next?

*Paranormal can also have a sequel since the investigations of our hero can always go on! How about the hero from paranormal meets cthulhu or similar for a sequel?

*Your Tesla table brings to mind a crazy suggestion--how about a Secrets of the Universe table--based on physics/math/chemistry/astronomy discoveries that changed our understanding of the world?

*Your Excalibur table brings to mind that a natural follow up might be a Sherwood Forest table bringing the robin hood story to life--or perhaps an Arthurian Quest for the Holy Grail table?

*A horror themed table might be a possibility--the spanish inquisition or the salem witch trials come to mind.

*Last but not least, a buddha/buddhism/ search for enlightenment table might be interesting. There's many approaches that could work to such a table--ascending through the different levels of consciousness/reality until reaching enlightenment is one approach that comes to mind.

    had another thought

Kind of unrelated to the children's shows idea, but thought it was too good to not share:
You know what would kick butt? A Lucha Underground table!!

Drago, Aerostar, Pentagon, Prince Puma, Fenix,King Cuerno, Mil Muertes, Sexy Star, Cage, Son of Havok, Johnny Mundo, even the propietor Dario Cueto--what a colorful and wonderfully over-the-top world Lucha Underground is. Lucha style wrestling translates perfectly to a frenetic, high energy table with lots of goals. You could even complete a "story" as you advance through the different table goals. The ultimate "wizard goal" that you can try and achieve only after having completed all the other goals could be finally winning the L.U. Championship.

Since LU is a relatively small wrestling organization compared to WWE or TNA perhaps the license rights would be much less. I cant imagine they would be opposed--getting exposure and publicity can't be a bad thing.

    Keep on pinballin' !

Fairy Tail is awesome man! You will enjoy the story very much. I think the author is a bit of a perv though.

Still, it's a very entertaining series that deserves more attention. Great minds indeed!

Every Zen table is fun to play. But to chime in...ummm..I may be the only person saying this but, the tables that are truly GREAT in my opinion are the original designs. The ones I tire less of playing even over the years. Rome, Tesla, Secrets of the Deep, Epic Quest, Wild West. The list could go on. I understand that licensed tables do seem to generate alot of hype, and keep the game alive and well. But I really miss new, original, concept to completion work the Zen designers USED to do
