  • What More Could You Want From Zen 2?

Let me begin by saying that Zen 2 is awesome. The 3D option is so good, I rarely play without it. The fact that Vita scores are saved when not connected to WiFi and then uploaded to the leaderboards when you are connected to WiFi is just great. The improvement in the Rule Sheets is very welcome. Gameplay is smooth and satisfying.

So what more could you ask for?

One thing which is available on the Vita but not on PS3 is the ablility to use the Directional Pad & the 0 button to control the flippers .... I would like to see this on the PS3.

On the PS3, you can move the Dot Matrix Display, on the Vita you can not ... I would like to see this option on the Vita too.

I would also like to see the rule sheets expanded to include the mini games within a table ... for example in Fear Itself, go through the steps to defeat each worthy. In addition, I would like to see the rules more defined. For example, In Fear Itself the rules say hit this target a few times and the serpent will move and you can enter a Pong Minigame .... How many times to do I have to hit the target? Is it a set number or random?

I would like to be able to play Zen 2 on my PS3 in 3D, in a single player game, and use My Vita as a controller, with the ability to use the directional pad and 0 button to control the flippers. The Vita just feels better than a PS3 controller for this game to me.

    1. The ability to map all functions to whatever controls work best for you. The default works fine for me, but was surprised to see such a limited amount of options.

    2. The ability to change the brightness of the room you are playing in the game. I'd like to see how some of those lights look in the dark. Also, the ability to switch backgrounds between tables would be a pretty neat feature.

    3. I like the way the menu is now for game selection, but it'd be nice to have an option to see all your tables.

One other option I would like is TURN BASED MULITPLAYER ... I would like to watch the other player play his ball with his table full screen, not split, and when his ball is lost, I would be able to go.

Many may say this option is not good because a single ball can last a long time but I would really enjoy it and actually it would be more like real pinball multiplayer than how the system is now.

I believe the benefit of this is that you can learn a lot from another player ... both their mistakes and seeing what they are doing right.

Of course no matter whos turn it is, you would still be able to voice and video chat with them.

I have sat on my sofa and watched a friend of mine play a single game and I love it and would like to have the opportunity to experience the same thing with people around the world and lean their approach to a table and their tricks tips and tactics by watching them play.

PS parathod, I am all for being able to map all the controls - that would be a joy !

Cross controller would be awesomesauce on an already terrific game. The Vita controls and design make it extremely comfortable when playing ZP2. Have a hard time adjusting to the sixaxis afterwards.

The possibility of "installing" lightning flippers (1/8th of an inch shorter) on all tables. That would solve the problem of difficulty for the most part, without tweaking or redesigning the whole table.

I still would love a tournament mode (or the possibility of turning extra balls off altogether).

I would like to see larger text size in the menu screens throughout the Vita version.

Many of the things already mentioned in this topic: https://forum.zenstudios.com/showthr...e-Vita-version

                1. All the other Pinball FX2 tables re-done and re-mastered!

                2. A more angled camera view in portrait mode for the Vita. A bit steeper than view 2 in landscape, with the flippers a bit closer to the screen (similar to view 7 in SF2 or view 1 or 4 in TPA). Even better let us custom adjust the angle, zoom and centering as well as being able to have a moving camera or locked.

                3. Ability to map controls or use buttons in portrait mode.

                4. Fix it so that the flippers do not quit working suddenly when the Vita detects a wifi signal (this has cost me numerous games already)

                5. More complete table guides.

                6. Larger text and table selection boxes/icons on the vita version.

                7. Move the "import tables" text and button icon into the options menu and off of the bottom of the main menu

                8. And please, please add the ability to re-arrange the table icons and even be able to hide them if we want. In fact change the "import tables" at screens edge to "show all tables" if any are hidden.

                9. More cow bell.

I'd like to see an "official" tournament every week, even if they were just auto-generated in alphabetical order. There's enough content that even if no new tables appeared and Fantastic Four never made the journey over, you'd still only play each table twice a year.

More new tables, of course - preferably branching away from the Marvel games. I understand the "name value" they bring, but you've kind of oversaturated the market (as over 50% of Zen Pinball 2 is still Marvel). I'd rather see diversity in ideas - even if you go for niche PSN titles. Of course, if you could pull off something like a Mega Man table (with evolving "robot master" ramps that go from game to game as to 'defeat' all of the bots in a title by hitting all the ramps in a single ball), I wouldn't object at all.
