  • They nerfed the dragon!?

Is it just me or is the final "random" dragon on Epic Quest much easier to beat in Zen 2 than it was in the original?

I beat it twice ever in Zen 1 and I was able to beat it twice in the same game on Zen 2 within the first few times I played Epic Quest. This isn't a complaint, just an observation.. has anyone else noticed the same thing or maybe other places where the final missions were made easier?

It's easier because the ball spin glitch is gone on ZP2.

It was hard to consistently hit the "sword" and "shield" ramps on ZP1 because of it, while ZP2 is so much easier to control the ball and hit those ramps. This is the easiest way to defeat the random (different element) dragon btw.

Not to mention, it's easier to hit the cave hole. Another thing that was hard to hit on ZP1, because of the excessive ball spin.

I think the 'dragon' is easier only because you are very low level wise. The dragon is much harder with all the resistances he gets' when your character level is higher. That's what it seems like to me.

I second that. Also I never notice how difficult that dragon "could" be because I always initiate multiball before I face it. It makes things easier.

Yeah, the low level thing could be it. It only took like 5-6 hits to kill him, where as in the original it often took like 20, but that was with a high level character.

Good call on the low level. I fired this up for the first time in ZP2 last night and got the dragon trophy on my first attempted and maxed out my extra balls. It's funny, while the dragon seemed much easier, I felt that the normal creatures took much more hits then I remember to defeat. I think I only have one epic item so far (may have gotten a second one right at the end).

The Cave hole? Yes, it's much easier to hit that hole now.

Even at higher levels, the dragon is way less intimidating.
I'm on level 25 or so, and on my last game I scraped three dragons.
