  • Did Zen ruin NGSII ?

Anyone else find that this table is enraging rather than fun now? I find every shot up the table ends up with a close call or a STDM drain... Has anyone hit the sink hole with the upper left flipper, even once? I have tried early and late timed shots... have not hit it even once.... never. This table has gone from my all time top 3 to my all time least favorite...

I was never any good at it in the first place. In fact I've done better on this version than on the original Zen Pinball.

But you are right, the hole on the upper-left playfield seems to be very difficult to hit. I've yet to hit it either.

It's up there with Shaman as more difficult on ZP2, than in ZP1.

There is a sinkhole to hit with the upper left flipper? I thought it was just to hit it into a ramp to use the upper right flipper to get (for me) a 1 in 5 shot for the sinkhole all the way across.

I know less about this table every time I play... does anyone have a guide?

I try this one occasionally but I just get frustrated/confused. Never played it before ZP2, still havn't played the "original four" Zen Pinball tables. Starting to think I should have skipped Street Fighter and Ninja Gaiden. I might would have had enough PSN change left over to get the "original" pack.

There are two sinkholes in the upper playfield. One under Genshin's feet and the other is next to orbit. It used to be very easy to hit on ZP1, but almost impossible to hit in ZP2.

STTC is working on it. I already sent him a list of tips, since I'm very familiar with the table.

Thanks for the reply shogun, after I posted I looked at the section in the free view w/ the controller tilt. I guess I can see a sinkhole, it looks too small to be able to fit the ball just in comparison to how big the spinner for the ramp is. Never knew that was supposed to be an option. Is it just like the other, points for hit? Or do they work in the latter stages of the table; that whole area seems to be not much use other than the "obliterate" lock for a multi-ball area. Also I noticed a ramp just to the right of the spinner, looks like it diverts to the "hole" where you can build up a ball save...wonder if this is supposed to be hit from the upper left flipper also?

The sink hole to the left of the spinners (there are actually 2 spinners in series, and you can see 2 spinner scores when you hit them) is to start the 4 ball multi-ball mode. After you hit the orbits approx 6 times (Alexei orbit), you can start the 4-ball mode (Alexei multiball). This was a great scoring technique on ZP1. I have attempted this shot from the upper left flipper so many times now, and can't even fluke it in...so I am wondering if it is even possible? I don't know what place I got on the leaderboard last night, but I got 998 pro points and that is enough for me... it's not fun trying to 'save' the ball constantly by doing slap saves the ENTIRE game... ugh.
