Testla - World Record GAME ENDING GLITCH ^&%[email protected]

well, been playing Tesla here and there all week, going for the all time record. Had the day off work today, so played 4hrs straight this morning. Went from 500M to 1,020,000,000 then saved the game. Had current ball and one more to go. Just turned it back on, game loaded up, and was frozen solid. Music was playing but the screen didn't even flinch, no timer, no nothing. No response. Had to hard reset, and points of course didnt register. This is why I stopped playing ZP1 AND Marvel... due to game ending glitches. At least I got a video of getting past a billion "Welcome to the Billionaires Club". Crap video on my digi cam. Will post that tomorrow. Time to go watch a movie and calm down.............

did you change your hard drive since i did that im getting all kinds of freezes in different games , by hard reset you mean upluging your ps3 manually ?

the only thing i can think of is the ps3 freezing because its overheating

This is the first time this has happened. I had to hold power button to turn off. Other glitches were when game kept executing, just no ball in play. This one was on the load of "previous game".

Almost happened to me in Earth defense. I shot the ball into the subway sinkhole and all I heard was the ball trying to kick back out but it didn't. Before I raged I let the invasion timer count down and luckily that reset the ball out of the sinkhole after the invasion was over, so I Kept playing got my best score on ED but have yet to get the 10 medal trophy. Always keep missing it by 1 or 2 medals.

tough break, that stinks man. Do game-ending crashes/freezes ever happen with game played straight through, or do you find generally only on trying to restore saves?

I had a game freeze on IG, was way over my high score but not top 50 by any means. The ball disapeared somewhere so I had to power off. No problems since then.

this was the first problem with restoring a saved game

I had several issues on IG after loading a saved game. The table view got stuck and I had a tilt warning that wouldn't go away so the game never officially ended and my score was never registered

I've never had ZP1 or 2 freeze on me thankfully. (touch wood...)

I've had Little Big Planet crash a few times, once after 3 hours in create mode where I hadn't saved my level, that was a killer.

yeah, that f'ing jackpot starts at 50K, got it up over a million, and started racking up points, then went out with the wife tonight and fired it up when I got back.... it is still running down there.... music going, frozen ....when i wake up tomorrow, I will get the camera from the wife and post the vid in front of this bull*****....

That blows, sorry dude. My only suggestion is stop saving the game, just leave it idle, but make sure your auto-off settings are on off.
Is your system hot or does this happen with other games? I ask because if no one else writes in that this is happening to them then could it be an issue with your PS3? My PS3 started freezing on games out of the blue before it died a few months ago. Had it send it in for a replacement. I lost 150+ hours in Skyrim, 100+ in Dark and Demon Souls, and everything else.
