Unless there is plenty of rand() usage in your physics, I'm sure that having the ability to record gameplay and sharing with friends/enemies or even just proving your high-score to the community would be great.
I personally enjoyed watching pros play as a kid and seeing what the game was like when it was played properly XD I'm very much a casual player and doubt I'll ever get the full game out of the tables in ZP2, so seeing them played would be nice too. And it will finally give a reason to use view modes 3-8
This would also make choosing boards easy and great too, because instead of a stupendously short demo, you can see the board played and see it's features. Plus seeing something played makes you want to play it yourself (As happened a lot when I was a kid).
I'm not sure if it's an ommision on technical reasons (code, physics limitations), infrastructure limitations (system for uploading/downloading demos) or just time (spending time making even more effing marvel tables instead of original ones :P)
