  • We are due a sale!

Hello Barbie, any news of Zen Pinball 2 getting a Table Pack Sale anytime soon?

I notice from your Twitter feed that Xbox Pinball FX2 users are on their second sale in 3 months for Avengers Chronicles Pack plus a few others. We haven't had this pack on offer on the PS3 at all in NA or Europe.

Europe gets the worst deal as we didn't even get the Halloween bundle that was offered on the NA store a couple of weeks ago

Being a European Studio, Zen should show it's nextdoor neighbours some love

We tried to do the Halloween bundle but SCEE didn't get it set up in time, so it was a no-go. For this recent XBLA sale, we didn't even know it was happening until it went live, it was Microsoft who made that call (since it was a chain-reaction sale).

SCEE slow on something? ..... surely not

I'll just have to be satisfied with F4 being updated in the next couple of weeks I guess.

Are there any plans to make any of the Avengers Chronicles available as an individual purchase? I am mainly interested in just one of the tables.

        Thank you.

Nope, they will remain in a pack as they were when they were first released.

Don't mean to crap on your thread, but in my opinion, the tables are dirt cheap as it is. I don't ever see the need to put something that's $2.50 or $3.00 on sale. Table packs are an even better deal because you get 4 tables for the price of 3. I know some don't want all the tables in a certain pack and all, but give every table a chance.

They obviously saw a need on Xbox Live; enough to do it twice...

I agree with you that the tables are relatively low priced, even accounting for the recent price hike with ZP2. So much so that I have bought every table except the Avengers Chronicles pack infact.

However, my comments were more from the perspective of getting the same deals as Xbox owners, who have had two opportunities to buy Avengers Chronicles at half price. I am led to understand this is due to Microsoft being the publisher on Xbox Live Arcade. Surely everyone likes a discount, not just Xbox owners?

In Europe we don't get 4 tables for the price of three as the cost is higher than on the American store, so it actually means there is no discount for buying a pack as opposed to individual tables; £2 ($3.17) per table or £7.99 ($12.71) for the Avengers Chronicles bundle. Captain America is an exception where the cost is the equivalent of $4 for one table.

This is standard practice with most things on the PSN Store. A case in point is NFS: Most Wanted which is $59.99 on the NA store and £59.99 ($95.32) on the EU one!!! There are rare exceptions to this though; I just picked up Sports Champions 2 (inc. DLC) for £15.99 ($25.40) whereas it is $39.99 on the NA store. This is due to the high cost of games at retail in the EU where in countries like Sweden, Spain, Germany and France you are a lot more likely to pay the RRP for a game. The UK is the exception due to the high uptake of internet shopping, so disc based games can often be had cheaper than US/CA and the market price generally falls faster.

I bought them all and have no regrets, i think zen pinball 2 is the best deal you can get on the psn, even in europe.
Just make sure i don't have to buy everything all over again when the ps4 hits the market.

Since i have zen the ps3 runs 4-5 times a week

It's also nice to see that zen empoyees actually read and reply on this forum, many software companies forget to do so.

I agree. It inspires confidence in a company when you know they engage with their customers. So many big companies just provide lip service and only appear to listen.

We did not initiate this sale, btw, this was a "chain reaction" sale put on by Microsoft.
