Hi all !
Ive been enjoying zenpinball 2 so much, i never knew i was such a sucker for pinball..
Actually, all friends who came by at the weekends are into pinball right now, we watched a docu on pinball and are looking inot buying a real cabinet... Its awesome.
Anyway, i just recently found out about the differences in pinball fx & zenpinball, there are some incredible maps, Rome for example that i really would like to play, i strolled around on the forum a bit and found a couple guys who worded it perfectly :
-------------------------------------------------
I have to say, I don't really see what the exclusive tables accomplish. I get how license related tables, like Ninja Gaiden and Ms. Splosion Man are cool little nod to their respective systems, but why make 8 tables exclusive to one system, and another 4 exclusive another system, and then have 2 others trapped on a third system? (look up Rollercoaster and Inferno)
People look at games like Halo and Little Big Planet, and decide which system to buy, but how many people each year are like, "Oh, I was going to buy a 360, but it doesn't have El Dorado, so instead I bought a ps3." 3? 5? Probably fewer. Even if you have both systems, as many of us do, did, or will, it still just divides up your scores and friend lists and creates a situation where you're pretty much forced to elect one or the other as your main system. All the division really does is punish Zen's most adoring fans, while serving to no benefit to anyone, as far as I can tell.
I agree. I mean, I don't mind having to turn on my 360 for one or two tables from time to time. For example the Ms. Splosion Man table. But there's what, 11 tables in all in Pinball FX 2 that aren't on PS3?
Then again, Zen Pinball 2 does have a large variety of tables. I could do without so much Marvel, but whatever. It's better than only having 4 tables and not knowing if I'll ever get any kind of future DLC. It's just hard not to be greedy when I find this game so fun I guess..
-------------------------------------------------
So yeah, are there any plans to bring these tables to each others platform ?
I was even contemplating on getting a old 360 xbox just to play the other maps but that would be the definition of insanity...
I do hope at some point it will happen or else i will have to give in to the insanity !
Bye !
