  • Zen Pinball 2 crashes every time you try to buy a new table on OS X Mavericks [10.9]

    Apple updated its OS to version 10.9 yesterday. Since then, it is not possible to buy any tables since it always results in a crash.

    This was tested with 2 computers
    * iMac 2007 model
    * MacBook Pro retina 2012 model

    Let me know if you want me to post the stacktrace of the crash or anything.

    We haven't been able to test anything on Mavericks just yet - we'll definitely be looking into this asap.

      This was the exception that was thrown on my machine.

      Exception Type: EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP)
      Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000

      Application Specific Information:
      *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '+[SKPayment paymentWithProductIdentifier:]: unrecognized selector sent to class 0x95d478'

      Looks like the app is using deprecated code (according to Google). It should be a quick fix.

        Can't Purchase on Mountain Lion (10.8.5) Either

        Can't purchase any tables or restore purchases on Mountain Lion (10.8.5) either. It seems like the game has difficulty connecting to the app store, but on the other hand it doesn't crash; there's no time out message either.

          Fails for me as well (as expected), same exception. Hopefully this gets fixed before the Dr. Strange table comes out.

            It should be resolved soon - I'll let you know when to expect an update.

              It was updated on the 14th and, although there's no indication of progress while tables are downloading, you can indeed buy and download tables now.

                Well, I had no problem with Mavericks .. but it does appear, on Lion, now I think about it , to indeed be a network problem. Unfoirtunately, my Mavericks install was full of bugs. all caused by overly zealous restrictive permissions settings, possibly inherited from Lion.. IDK... so I had to delete the Mavericks install.. leaving me with OSX 10.7 Lion .. which puts up the "please wait" banner and nothing happens. So, apparently, since the latest update, I can no longer access the Apple store on Lion. The problem started immediately after the update.I have still an archived version of the previous issue so when Doctor Strange comes out I will see if the update really is the issue..
                Just letting you know...
