  • Ps4: No analog sticks

    Hey,
    One question to everyone.

What do you think about the "digital only" stick of the Ps4?
Is it possible to do fine calibrations for the skill shot with the new Ps4 controller?

Or am I missing a technical point in this announcement, analog sticks has been abandoned because of games not using this feature?

    Thanks!

The analog sticks are still on the controller and will remain analog.

The announcement was for the 4 face buttons. On the DualShock 3 (and 2 for that matter), there are 256 levels of pressure sensitivity on 4 face buttons (X, Square, Triangle and Circle) and the 4 shoulder buttons (R1, R2, L1 and L2) making these buttons analog instead of digital. Sony is removing the "touch sensitive" feature on the face buttons (making them digital again), because not many people are using them. I believe the two triggers (L2 and R2) will remain analog, but I'm not sure about the two regular shoulder buttons (R1 and L1).

        ZP2 PS3 pinball sticks compatible with PS4 ?

I have an arcade stick with 2 dedicated buttons for pinball emulation to play ZP2 on my ps3.

Does this arcade stick will be usable on my PS4 in ZP2 ?

I have just tested it on my PS4 :

it is NOT recognised by the PS4 (not at all : no button or joystick is on/available).

The plug in the USB of the PS4 has absolutly no effect on the PS4.

Maybe after a patch by Sony, as for the Sony PS Headset (normal version and Pulse version)...

Im still at odds whether to use the Triggers or the L1 & R1 buttons of the DS4 for this, just find the DS4 Triggers make my index finger sore after rapid use.
