  • PS4 Zen Pinball has some serious physics issues compared to other system releases.

Look I own every single Zen Pinball table for the following systems

    PS3 (4th)
    360 (3rd best)
    Vita (excellent)
    3DS (5th)
    PS4 (awful)
    Wii U (best version period)

So you could say I have some idea of what I am talking about here when I say that the PS4 release of Zen Pinball is infuriating.
The ball physics are terrible. I like to consider myself a pretty decent player at this point having owned Zen Pinball since day 1 when it became available on the PS3 and have played it every day since on various systems.

Graphics wise, the tables look amazing so ZERO complaints on that end.

It's the physics of the way the ball moves that is my issue and can be compared to the same issues Zen Pinball had on older tables before Zen Pinball 2 fixed them. Excalibur and Street Fighter come to mind if you all remember how awful those tables were before the fix. Well I am having similar issues on the PS4 release. Most of them on the Star Wars tables for some reason. Ball drains left and right, just random drops all over the place where I should have easy control of the ball and it's just all over the place.

Anyone else getting that feel on the PS4 version?

Actually feels fine to me. Maybe a bit faster if anything at all.
    And I know too
I have all trophies on ps3 and ps4 version and my son has 3ds version but can't get the trophies on that version too hard for some reason.

Brussels, is it possible that you have flipper lag that's causing you trouble?

The input lag on the TV makes a huge differance on a pinball game where timing is everything.

The Vita version maybe have the best input lag since it has it's own screen. I just bought the Sony 55W905 TV wich has about 8ms input lag and compared to some samsung tv that has betweeen 45-90ms input lag (wich makes this game unplayable).

Wii U has a sync between the controller and tv i think wich might make ZEN Pinball better for you?

          Was the 3D setting

I usually play with the 3D setting on for the PS3 version and have never had an issue, well on the PS4 version it seems to be an issue with the response time of when I hit the flipper in 3D mode.

Once I turned off the 3D everything is smooth sailing so I am not sure if that is a TV issue with the PS4 or just the version of the game in 3D. I have a Samsung 3D Plasma that I play on.

Try setting the PS4 to 720p. Having the game at 1080p and with 3D on might be too much for the TV's processor to handle.

The game only run in 720p when in 3D so that would not make a difference. But could be that the tv you have doesn't handle the 3D. Have you tried using a "game mode" if the tv have one? Most Samsung have a game mode and plasmas usually have slower input lag so it should have one.
