  • Sony-Platforms: a lot of Questions - Cross-*** Features, table lists etc.

    Hi there,

I'm a fan for years and own a lot of tables on my Xbox 360. Since I rarely play on this console anymore due to PS4-release, I would
purchase this nice game(s) for my Sony-Systems.

Ok, I have a few questions that I couldn't find quick answers through searching:

    To round it up beforehand:

We have Zen Pinball 1, Zen Pinball 2, Marvel Pinball, Star Wars Pinball on 3 sony-platforms with partially cross-buy, cross-save, no cross-trophies (?) and import-features ...

    I'm confused! ;-)

    In detail:

    1. Is there a table-list for each console (and PC/mobile devices) what tables are available? I wondered that this is not to be found on the official website!? It would be nice to have complete lists, so as a collector and owner of more than one system you can easily check out what's missing.

    2. I own PS3,4 and Vita. Ps4 can import the 20 tables mentioned by Barbies' Post from PS3, ok!? So to play on all platforms it's best to buy them on PS3 and import to PS4!?

But what about newer/upcoming tables? To have it on all platforms do I have to buy them for PS4 and PS3/Vita seperately? No plans for bundle/special price?

    Do we have shared highscorelists?
    Trophies are seperate per platform?
Are all tables available for PS3 allso available for PS Vita?

    4. As far as I know there is seperate games for Star Wars, Marvel, Zen Pinball 1 and 2 ... some are importable to ZP2!?

Buying tables for ZP1, SW or M will let me import alle tables to ZP2, yes!? Will Highscores be shared? Trophies are seperate? Will you do this "seperate thing" in the future? I'd like it best to have ONE hub for all tables!

    5. I know there are some rumors about Pinball FX3 and you can't say anything specicfic yet, but one thing would be nice to have a hint for: Will it be (time-)exclusive for MS like Pinball FX2 or can we, if at all, expect a release at around the same time?

    thank you

    bye

Not do I know of and it makes sense, since it would be a pain to keep those lists up to date.

Correct! The main reason why is because the only way the PS4 can detect cross-buy purchases is through your download list. The PS3 and Vita cannot detect PS4 programs and do not show up on the download list for those platforms. Hence, why the cross-buy is only one way for the PS4.

But what about newer/upcoming tables? To have it on all platforms do I have to buy them for PS4 and PS3/Vita seperately? No plans for bundle/special price?
Cross-buy will be available on all future table releases for the PS4. You must buy the PS3 or Vita versions of the tables for this to work though.

    Do we have shared highscorelists?
Yes for the PS3 and Vita versions. The PS4 version has a different leaderboard because of server compatibiliy between the platforms.

    Trophies are seperate per platform?
    Correct!

Are all tables available for PS3 allso available for PS Vita?
    Yes!

    4. As far as I know there is seperate games for Star Wars, Marvel, Zen Pinball 1 and 2 ... some are importable to ZP2!?
Yes! ZP1 and Marvel Pinball do not have an import feature, but all tables on those two platforms can be imported to the Zen Pinball 2 platform. Personally, I don't recommend going after Marvel Pinball or ZP1 (delisted). Those two programs are way outdated and do not possess all of the features that are found in ZP2.

Buying tables for ZP1, SW or M will let me import alle tables to ZP2, yes!? Will Highscores be shared? Trophies are seperate? Will you do this "seperate thing" in the future? I'd like it best to have ONE hub for all tables!
Different servers for leaderboards and seperate trophy support (that's a Sony policy) for each platform. If you want everything under one roof, then stick to ZP2.

Nope and I'll doubt we'll hear anything until they are ready to release.

They are probably waiting for the further proliferation of the ps4/xbone so it might not be until next year. Just a guess.

Well obviously folks here shouldn't count on seeing Zen Pinball 3 anytime soon. Zen Pinball 2 just released not even 2 years ago. PBFX 3 will be the next to come.

One more: Tables like F4, SFII, Epic Quest etc. Are not available for PS3 ...

In the german PSN-store. Is the reason, because they belong to ZP1, which is delisted and because I dont own ZP1 I am not able to get these tables for PS3 or Vita anymore!? Via PS4 I can purchase them for the PS4 obviously.

I wrote something in another thread about older missing tables: I can see all of them, but buy none. It reads " sorry, you can not purchase this at the moment"

Hm, I would be happy to have the whole collection on all sony plattforms, but it seems I am too late.

It is not clear to me what goes on here.
                  Thanks for any clue.

Nope - the DLC listed has nothing to do with ZP1. I think it's a weird entitlement issue on your account, which tables do you already own on PS3?

                      Ok, hm ...
I own zero tables for PS3 and Vita and just the free one for PS4. Bought over 30 tables for Xbox 360 though and
like I mentioned in the first post here I thought about changing the systems and purchase the whole collection for my sony consoles.

I hesitate to buy anything because I don't get it, what tables are available for what sony system.
It just would be nice to have a complete collection on all 3 PS-consoles instead of some tables here and other there ...^^

Maybe I'm just unlucky, I think I've posted enough of this now. Don't want to waste others time ...

If you open up ZP2 on PS3 (it's free to download), you can see which tables are available in the table library. That is the complete collection for that system, everything is listed there. The same library is available on Vita. PS4 has everything that PS3 has except Ninja Gaiden. All new releases going forward will be added to both PS3, Vita and PS4, but if you want them on all 3 systems, you have to get them on PS3 or Vita first, then import to PS4 (for existing content and new releases in the future).

I know this. Have read a lot in this forum.
The table library for PS3 lists exact 30 tables, the one for PS4 40 tables on my sytems now.
If these are all available tables, ok.

Maybe another user here would be so kind to count his/her library available ...

Problem solved - Zen Studios support is great - thank you!

                            Hi there,

just wanted to post the solution in my case:

All tables became available for purchase after I bought at least one table! Without owning at least one, "you are missing an unlock key" will be displayed for, in my case, 10 tables. 30 other tables are available though.

As easy as this, but strange if you ask me.

So again big thanks to Barbie and ZenStudios. Again I can't get rid of the feel, that you care about your customers! ;-)
