  • Zen pinball 2 crashes PS4

It was great to see ZEN pinball 2 was also available on PS4 so installed it and tried to import my tables. During the import the PS4 also downloaded an update and started to install it and my PS4 (on firmware 1.72) crashes and the TV says it is not receiving any signal. Only rebooting the PS4 by holding the power button for a while will bring it back to life.

So I uninstalled the game and deleted the game data and reinstalled it but still it won't run and PS4 system crashes as mentioned. I've been google-ing for this issue for a week now but it seems i'm the only one on the planet with this issue.
I've tried several video settings and even fooled the PS4 to not install the update couse the game ran once when it wasn't updated but nothing helps.

    anybody any suggestions

Try going into safe mode and select Option 5 (Rebuild Database).

I was having this exact same problem. It seems when it tries to display one of its title cards on loading it invokes a video mode that some TV's don't like.

I found by pressing circle just after the game launched it bypassed the screen and I can get into the game. But it didn't always happen.

        Thanks Indy,

skipping the loading screens by pressing "circle" gets me into the game. I thought the system had crashed because it wouldn't shut off by pressing the PS button and then go down 5 times en press X (option to shutdown PS system) .

If you find a more perminent solution please let me know. I myself am going to try replacing my HDMI cabling to latest standard and fiddle around with some TV settings andwil let you know if the problem goes away.

I'm going to import my tables now and hope I don't run into more trouble (read a lot of posts about the import function not working correctly).
