  • Feature/Options request for PS4

Dear Zen maker people of awesomesauciness,

I would love it if you would add the option to control the flippers with the face buttons and the D-pad like you can on the Vita.

It is so much more comfortable this way and puts far less strain on the hands than being forced to use the shoulder buttons and triggers. I imagine on the PS4 it would even make the game more immediately responsive just because of the travel time the shoulders have (not to mention the fact that the PS4 shoulder buttons tend to stick and have travel issues).

    I'll contribute two more:
    - zen pinball could post to the ps4 "what's new" section what friend records has been beaten. Now it just says "javalens played zen pinball two times" instead of the awesome:
javalens has beaten DiscoKing, otherPlayer and anotherplayer record on the Lego table [999.999.999 points]

    - this is more nitpicking but when a table has secondary flippers I never release the buttons on time and the ball collides with them. What if we could assign specific buttons for them. L1 & R1 for mains and L2 & R2 for all secondary. Or circle and left for mains and square and right for secondary....

That's my two cents. Keep the awesomesauciness coming our way.

Me personally, I don't mind using the L2/R2 triggers on the Dualshock 4. However, I wouldn't mind having the option of trying your suggestion using the O button and D pad for the flippers, like the Vita.

As far as the shoulder buttons sticking, I had the same problem with L1/R1 when I first bought the PS 4. I went on YouTube and found a video on how to fix it and it was actually fairly easy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRu3qKcUECk I haven't had a problem them since. (The L2/R2 are a little more complicated, but there are videos for fixing those as well.)

There is one feature that I would like to see implemented in Zen Pinball 2. I would like to have the same user interface as PB FX 2 on the XBOX One. That would be great to have all of the Star Wars, Marvel, and Original Tables separated into their own sections.

Yeah it is a very nice interface they have. I would STILL like to see if my friends have trophies to tables that I may or may not have. It's always good motivation to get those said trophies. I miss that particular feature. It use to be on Marvel Pinball and it's on PBFX2 on 360 as well. Still yeah the PBFX 2 on Xbox One definitely has a smoother interface though.

Maybe we will get the new interface with the next update.
They have to update the UI simply because they're out of room for icons the way it is. They're already so small on the Vita it's hard to tell what they are.

Coolio. I would really love the control change/addition... I played enough Zen 2 on the PS4 the past couple days that my wrists/hands feel like I got carpal tunnel. They actually hurt

That doesn't happen when playing it on Vita.
