I just think of what even more can be done with tables like SP where they had to scale back to fit the older hardware's limitations. Not saying they didn't do a great job with what they had to work with but just think about it! I can dream can't I? So many more samples and awesome lighting effects, etc.! BTW great job on AoE!! -
Yeh I would really like to see what ZP3 would bring to the Table, oooh pun intendedLeave a comment:

See I was thinking that until I realized all of the animations and such on the table. The tables are already bright. I guess that can work though.Leave a comment:

I can imagine a latest version (ZP3) being at least teased this year, not sure about a release. I'm personally ready for a whole new Zen Pinball, if you think this is as far as the graphics can go then you're very wrong. As shogun said, the lighting is something that can and I'm sure will be improved.
As for importing, it is such a generous feature and I'm sure it's caused the team (including Barbie!) many headaches, I would be happy to just have a bulk buy option if they were to include all the old tables.
Merging leaderboards... hmm, I'll stay out of that oneLeave a comment:

Personally I'd be happy if they kept it at Zen Pinball 2 for quite a while. Visuals can be updated over time and honestly they use higher quality textures than TPA. I'm sure if they made a ZP3, it would be a nightmare to continue the importing feature. So many entitlements to handle between the different skus and platforms.
I'd really love it if they updated the leaderboards to merge Vita/PS3/PS4/Marvel/Star Wars and just put icons next to where that high score was from. Give players the ability to filter out the platforms. I made the mistake of playing Star Wars pinball and getting a billion points on a few tables (which took a while) but my ZP2 friends have higher scores than me and I haven't felt motivated to beat them again on different version. I'm moving away from the standalone versions specifically because the leaderboards aren't unified.Leave a comment:

To be quite honest, I don't think anything is low res. As far as the tables go, they look gorgeous. I can't fathom how much more they can do into detail for the tables. If Zen can make the tables better, I'm sure they will. Actually now that I'm looking at it, the menu may need a graphical touch up, but not an overhaul. Also, to have a whole new game format by Christmas is pushing it. You have to remember that PBFX 3 will come before ZP3, I assume. Although PBFX just got a new UI, but still. Anyway, you brought up some valid points. However, I myself, don't think we need ZP3 as of yet. Unless it's to put more trophies on again. Then again, would be a Sony thing.Leave a comment:

I am by no means being critical but am just pointing out the obvious. On your latest table AoE the tile icon looks really low-res. The poly count for characters is quite low. Special effects could be even better. I know these tables are still being made for older consoles but between the 2 current gen ones their numbers are nothing to sneeze at. I am have gotten spoiled by Bloodborne and other games to the point where I really see the need for ZP3 down the road. I don't expect you to raise the poly count to 60,000 like Delsin was in Infamous: SS, but the limited memory consoles roots are showing badly. The PS4 is so much more capable and less of a pain to program for that even I am programming for it. It's like the 1080p resolution helps you on certain tables and shows graphical flaws even moreso on other tables. So I am just curious if there's any type of time frame for the inevitable release of ZP that takes full advantage of the hardware. I know you still see big figures on the ol' PS3 and whatnot but sooner or later everyone will upgrade. At only a $100 (from the SS 500gig model) upgrade that isn't asking much of users still playing the aged consoles. They lack ram and horsepower and I would love to see Morpheus integrated into pinball! So please no one get me wrong I still love Zen but visually the latest table isn't all that appealing because of the other platforms who don't have 8 gigs of DDR5 ram and a 8 core processor and the ability to do high-end pre and post operations especially when it comes to MSAA and FSAAand even SMAA . So I am hoping by Christmas to have ZP3. I would love to see what you can REALLY do on the current-gen consoles. Keep the great tables coming. Thanks for listening and thanks for another fine table. WHat do other PS4 owners think?Tags: None
