PS3 Directional Pad Tilt - Split Screen Issue

Myself and my brother both use the directional pad for nudging and when we try to play split-screen, player 2 can't nudge. Has anyone else encountered this or has their been talk of a fix?

Did you try swapping controllers? Let me know if that helps or not

I tried that indeed. The directional pad is fine on both controllers as I can browse through menus fine with both controllers when connected as player one. When I try to nudge the first time with player two, the screen will shake slightly once and after that no response. I've tried going into options ingame, turning on analog stick nudge, went back into tables, nudge worked grand for player 2 and after changing back to directional pad I get that one nudge and no more after that. Oh and we have three controllers.
