Cheers. Just recently got pretty into Zen Pinball after searching around for a mobile game that wasnt as pay to play as most titles or as time consuming as my recently most played, Vainglory. I happened across Zen's game and I've been absolutely digging it. Its funny. I actually grew up with a pinball table at home (no idea these days what one) but rarely played it being just a bit too young to appreciate for much more than a big machine. Also odd is I recall downloading this game on the 360 must have been three years ago (?) and never touching even the demo for some reason.
But, finally, I gave Sorc Lair a shot on my S6 a few weeks ago and was hooked for the rest of the Sunday. Started horrible, obviously, having almost no real pinball experience and less virtual pin experience but have been steadily improving as I read through Shoryuken's guide and some general tips across the web.
Now Im far from a master on Sorc (though as I'm steadily boosting my high score with every few plays
) but I'm looking to branch out a bit with another table or two to mix things up when I'm playing on my mobile. I have downloaded two tables on my One, Epic Quest and PvZ. I love the theme, art design, and RPG setup on Epic. Even if the battles themselves don't feel overly "epic" the overall progression and monster fights are great fun. I plan on purchasing it in the future for mobile play but will stick with the One on that for now to save a bit of cash. And obviously PvZ is out as it's unavailable on mobile.
So what should I look at next? I'm keen on choosing a Zen original for now as they appear to only cost a buck on the phone. I'm eying the Castlestorm or Wild West Rampage as I dig both Westerns and Skyrimesque fantasy. Plus Im thinking Castle could be a good Epic Quest theme fix without having to double up the same table. And the Tesla table looks very visually appealing. Apart from aesthetics I don't have a ton of actual table mechanics of any of them tho. So what's a good look for a new player trying to work on general pin mechanics and challenge completion skills.
(Sorry for long post. Didn't think I'd enjoy a pin game this much but excited to say I'm loving Zen's product. Hope to cruise around the forum from time to time as I get ore into it. Cheers and thanks. )
